Forums For Molokan Teenagers

Recommended Posts

Hey knitwit!

I love your name :122:

I have been asking around and should have an answer soon. There was a site on MSN and I have contacted the moderator to get the address for you.

Have a great day.

Sada

I was just notified (by my kids) that the majority of teenagers use MySpace to communicate. They also use MSN messenger or AOL messenger. It seems that they add each to their contact lists which notifies them when someone has signed on.

Also, I am approached and e-mailed by quite a few of the teens from camp with questions that they might have but are too 'shy' to ask in an open forum. I eventually bring up these issues in my thread: Journal of a Camp Counselor.

You can send me a message in this forum and I will send you my e-mail address.

Hope that helps.

Sada

I was just notified (by my kids) that the majority of teenagers use MySpace to communicate.

Be warned though, myspace is loaded with photos and discussions of indecency, pornographic material, drinking, drug abuse, swearing, fights, fornication and all sorts of other sins that our molokan youth get involved in, and that's just on the molokans' pages.

The internet is no place to turn loose a child or a teenager. I know most of the parents in our brotherhood allow their children to spend time on the internet unsupervised, even with filtered internet, the amount of accessible pages is enormous. So parents take active participation in your childrens' lives, "train them up in the way they should go and they will not depart from it."

Proverbs 29:15 "The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame."

I heard on the radio, just this week, that there was a sting set up by the authorities, and they used MySpace to set up meetings and capture sexual preditors. Many preditors were thinking they were to meet up with 12-13 yr olds.

I am with Disciple on this one. MySpace is a very bad place for Teens to be. Most Teens are making web pages behind their parents backs, and are posting not so nice things and uploading not so nice pics! Parents, even if you don't think your teen has a Myspace, they probably do. I would have never thought in a million years mine would. They Did!! The spouce put an end to that quickly. Go and look for yourselves. Don't ask them if they have a Myspace, cause they will deny it!! Look for yourselves. It's easy to search, if you don't find what your looking for at first, keep digging, you will find one of their friends and from there you can find out who all IS in there.

I agree that the internet is a web of deceipt. There are many chidren, both Nash and Nenash, that are allowed to go onto the internet unsupervised. I should have stated that the Myspace is 'unmoderated'. I apologize.

However, if a parent is involved, they can 'supervise' the child's settings. This means that they are the ones that 'moderate' users onto their list. I can only use myself as an example. Our computer is in our living room, right next to my chair. When the kids are online, they know that I am right there. They also know that I have the ability to check in on their 'postings' at any time. I only allow my teens to have an account.

Fact: Kids do not like to follow their parents rules.

Fact: Many kids (especially Molokans) want to break out from under the rules.

Fact: Many parents would not believe that their kids would have a Myspace.

Fact: They do!

I have been invited to join many of your childrens Myspace groups. It is like they are the administrator of their own group. They have a preferred list and an extended list. They are the ones that decide who is added to their list. No one can be added unless they agree.

I do not have a Myspace! :127:

As 'fountain-drink' said, go to Myspace and search. The children need to be at least 16 to have a space. Some lie about their age. It is interesting how communication between teens has changed. It used to be that they would call each other on the phone, now they go online and Instant message each other.

I believe that the Instant Message is more of a problem than Myspace because of the 'anonymous factor'. One day I was trying to post on this site and one of my girls forgot to sign off of their MSN messenger. I was shocked when a person sent me an instant message filled with profanity. I asked them who they were and only received more profanity. So, I told them, you obviously do not know who you are talking to. They replied, "Yeah, I'm talking to f#####!%^*" . I copied the conversation and when my daughter got home I showed her and asked who it was. She said that this person had been harrassing her for a few weeks because they got her e-mail addresss from a forward. She found out who it was and was trying to 'reason' with this young man. It wasn't working.

So, I dealt with it, in my Tsotsa Sada way I pulled the young man aside at church and told him a story.

Harrasment still exists online, and will continue as long as we allow the internet to babysit our kids.

Don't know if you all have been watching the news this weekend. The FBI is doing a crack down on MY SPACE. If any of you have children that have a "my space" it is recommended that they delete their site, especially if they are under the age of 16.

Teenagers (for that matter everyone) needs to be aware of the potential dangers of Social Networking sites like facebook and myspace

As technology advances, pretty much everything you have ever posted online NEVER goes away

Even after you have "removed" things you may have regretted, they never really go away in fact they are often maintained of the servers indefinitely

Now companies are using public information to check up on potential employees or tenants

Data mining is the practice of sifting though large amounts of information (websites, databases etc...) for the purposes of finding out about a person of groups

With so many people online and in many instances unwittingly posting very personal information, the job of "data miners" is getting increasingly easy

Be careful, you might not get a job you wanted because you were foolish and publicly bragged about it

There are many chidren, both Nash and Nenash… (Post #6, sadichka)

This ongoing “distinction” by those who claim to be CHRISTian, i.e., believers and followers of JESUS [THE] CHRIST, in WHOM the apostle Paul tells us:

“But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian, for in CHRIST JESUS you are all sons of GOD, through faith. For as many of you as were baptized into CHRIST have put on CHRIST. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female, for you are all one in CHRIST JESUS.” (Galatians 3:25-28)

Do not lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old self with its practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge after THE IMAGE of its CREATOR. Here there is not Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave, free; but CHRIST is all, and in all.” (Colossians 3:9-11)

....reeks of nonconformity aka rebellion against THE LORD GOD and HIS word (written and INCARNATE).

It is offensive to THE LORD GOD thus to HIS people, i.e., CHRISTians, and according to the apostle Paul’s words, is indicative of an unchanged, unregenerated heart/mind.

In light of THE HOLY SCRIPTURES, until such a time that sadichka and those of her “nash and nenash” mindset are able with a clean/clear [CHRISTian] conscience/heart to refer to people outside of their isolated community without this “distinction,” they really should abstain from claiming to be CHRISTian as their [disobedient] actions dishonor THE LORD and HIS name....

BTW, keeping in mind THE HOLY SCRIPTURES’ teachings above, what does sadichka “counsel” and/or teach her camp students as well as her own children regarding this “distinction”? How does she reconcile it with THE HOLY SPIRIT-inspired Apostle Paul’s words?

First, I just want to start off and say that I agree with you.

I personally believe that racism may be hurting the molokan brotherhood just as much, or more than the s&l.

But do you really need to bring up Sadichka.

I mean, if she was still actively posting, than you have a valid reason to bring up something and then she can respond.

But, I don't believe she has posted here for a while and I am not sure that bringing up her name is going to do anything.

Do you know her?

Have you called her or visited her to clear this up with her in person first, like the bible says to do?

15 “If your brother sins, go and show him his fault in private; if he listens to you, you have won your brother.

16 “But if he does not listen to you, take one or two more with you, so that BY THE MOUTH OF TWO OR THREE WITNESSES EVERY FACT MAY BE CONFIRMED.

17 “If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church; and if he refuses to listen even to the church, let him be to you as a Gentile and a tax collector. Mt 18:15-17 NASB

Especially since you are "anonymous" and she is not.

If you used your real name, would you make the exact same statement?

I know this is a forum and everybody has the right to remain anonymous, but we all need to check our motives.

And it seems that it is easier for people to make bold statements when they are anonymous, this way they will not have to be held accountable for what they said.

The racism stems from the s&l

The notion of a "special leaper and jumper" or super-set of "christianity" is what drives the bus in this area

Get rid of the book and teach the Bible

Here is a conversation of youth and now a "older" from Australia chiming in. Read the last few posts.---> Click here to view discussion

Here is the post from the "older" in Australia:

hi guys, sorry to intrude on your posts here...

i am reading with interest what you are all saying. Kyle you are absolutely correct when you quote 1 Timothy 4:1, and when you consider what our people are doing and how they are going to churches of other faiths dont you think that they have been deceived and seduced by unclean spirits and demons... See More? Now go back and read the rest of 1 Timothy 4.

[13] Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.

[14] Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.

[15] Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.

[16] Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.

We all need to focus on ourselves to NOT be tricked by others who are attempting to deceive and seduce us from our faith. Do not become a servant of the enemy by fighting against the True Faith through misunderstanding or even lack of understanding! As some one pointed out above, the Molokan faith was established by the Holy Spirit to be the one and only True Faith. It was established with the suffering and bloodshed of the many many souls of our forefathers, this cleansed the people so that they and us today may have access to the promise of 1000 year paradise with Christ, both spiritually and on earth. MGR gave us a format in which to follow so that it might be easier for any one to attain this salvation. It really is up to each individual to attain this for himself and when we understand that there really is only ONE True Path to this salvation, we will only then realise how fortunate we are to have this opportunity for salvation in Christ.

Do not let this forum become a battle ground, but learn from each other and with each other so you may all come together in ONE understanding and that is to say "with the Wisdom of God, in His True Spirit"

I urge you all to continue in your studies, do not develop opinions based on any mans interpretations but allow the Spirit of God to teach and guide you to all understanding of His Will.

i hope this helps you all to understand a little better of what it is that we are supposed to be. Some think that just because we are born molokan, that we receive automatic entry into the kingdom or eternal life.... quite the contrary, we MUST work harder than anyone else because we 'were' born of it. We must EARN the right to the reward as promised by Jesus Christ, as he said Mark.12

[28] And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all?

[29] And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:

[30] And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.

[31] And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.

and

John.13

[34] A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

Fulfilling this simple commandments of Christ will bring us to salvation because when you break it all down to understand its spiritual meaning.... you will see that all other rules and regulations (somewhere over 1300 laws, commands, edicts, regulations, rules, statutes etc) will have been covered by our actions, thoughts and deeds.

if you need help to understand anything further or wish to simply discuss our faith please do not hesitate to contact me. i would be happy to help you.

let us progress by the Will of God for His Glory!

The "olders' father was the one who wrote this not too long ago: Father is just as deceived

I in NO way am trying to downplay the True Forefathers that Had True Faith In Christ Jesus.

It's men like this "older from australia" and the many others that elevate the blood of forefathers to the point of cleansing. This man believes the blood that was shed by mere men cleansed the people then and today, so we may have access to 1000 year paradise.

READ IT FOR YOURSELF.

And, then he claims what MGR did makes it easier to attatin this salvation.

WHAT?!?!?!?!?!

Here you have an "older" teaching the youth they MUST work harder and EARN the reward.

The Bible states the complete opposite Please read these verses from God's Word:

Romans 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.

Ephesians 1:3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. 4 For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love 5 he predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will— 6 to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves. 7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace.

The Words Of Jesus Christ, THE WAY, THE TRUTH, THE LIFE, THE KING, THE LORD, THE SAVIOR

Matthew 11:28 "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."
