newsboy 0 Report post Posted May 11, 2007 Police say suspects held down Molalla freshman teammate 06:18 PM PDT on Thursday, May 3, 2007 By kgw######## Staff Police arrested two more students in connection with an investigation into possible sex abuse at Molalla High School. The two members of the Molalla High School varsity basketball team appeared before a judge in Clatsop County Thursday. Seventeen-year old Joshua Haqq and 18-year old John Berokoff are being charged as adults for Unlawful Sexual Penetration and Sex Abuse. Watch the KGW report A 17-year-old boy was arrested late last month on charges related to sex abuse involving members of the varsity boy`s high school basketball team. The alleged abuse among teammates occurred on road trips to Sisters and Seaside just after Christmas. Prosecutors suggested there could be similar charges filed in Deschutes County. According to two sources close to the case, the alleged abuse involved older players picking on a freshman teammate. Background: Investigation into possible sex abuse of high school basketball player That teen was arrested at Molalla High School and transported to a correctional facility, where he will be detained pending juvenile court proceedings. Police said no more arrests were expected. Oregon State Police launched the investigation in late January, and they said the investigation is ongoing. "We're very upset about it, and we're thinking that they made too big a deal out of it," she said. "It's something that the kids all did in fun." This quote was taken from the may 5th edition of the oregonian. Distraught!? How about the poor kid that got violated? All kids do in fun!?
