Molokan Geneology Site?

Recommended Posts

Would it be of interest if molokan.net set up their own familly tree site that would allow individuals the ability to create their own trees?

I'm sorry Mr. Admin.

I forgot to answer your question....

I think that it would be a good idea also, but I don't know if the majority of Anonymous posters and forum members would want to put their family history on public display.

Perhaps something that is only accessible (<--spelling?!) to the individual.

Guest mary figuera

Hello, I'm just looking for some advice where to start. Trying to get some background on Russian settlers to Colony San Antonio Mexico circa 1920-1926. Because of postings to Ancesty.com I believe that my Bataeff ancesters lived there until some of the family moved to LA and then some on to San Francisco. I know nothing about Molokans, and I believe my grandfather was a cossack. Any suggestions for books or other links to give me some basic background on the world my grandparents lived in would be welcomed and appreciated. Thanks Mary Figueras

There really isn't one specifically

There are people like Ellen B who have compiled some information

Her wordpress site is here

Also Nancy Posey does quite a bit of family reserach

There is a very interesting heritage among the molokans BUT, from a Christian standpoint, it has become a cult so I would go into your research with that in mind
