I realise that looking for a "Johnny *****************" is "Like looking for a Needle in a Haystack", but I need help with this one.. "Johnny (?) *****************" Cook; USMC; "Married & divorced" before going to Camp Courtney, Okinawa, Japan - 1951-`52. There is a slight possibility that he was spotted in Okinawa in 1962.. (?) Any assistance would be immensely appreciated. How about a Clue.? A Tip.? Ghrishka

Regards.., I'm conducting a survey of sorts, to find out how many of us are descended from Mordvinian blood, and are willing to admit it. Some of my Aunts would always call me "Mardvin" disparagingly, as I apprached to greet them. My Grandfather, Grigirii Ivanovich Ignat (LIDJAEFF) EGNATOFF, was either a Mordvinian. Or at least, his Father was. There is some speculation, that Babunia may have been also. (This, from my Mother's lips..) IF Dyeda was Full Blooded, then many of our Tolmasoffs & Nazaroffs are also descended from them. IF Babunia was.., then many Shubins are as well. I do know of at least one Slivkoff Family that are proud of the fact, as I am. I've become very proud of my liniage as I've learned more & more about them, through my genealogy works, etc. Funny thing about my being called "Mardvin disparagingly".. The name Bolderoff in effect, is an ancient term for 'Half-breed'. So, perhaps the question should be.. Who amomgst us thinks they are 'Full Bloded Russian'.?
