The Islamization of Europe

Europe is headed for a big conflict over its own identity. In the last few decades, as birthrates across the continent have plummeted, Europeans began to rely more and more on immigrants to supply manpower for various industries. Most of these immigrants have come, are coming, and will continue to come from Islamic countries.

 

Since World War II, most Europeans have moved away from any concept of national pride, since this was seen to be the great cause of strife in the world. David Pryce-Jones, senior editor of National Review and author of The Closed Circle, recently said in an interview that the European Union “is built on this idea that wickedness comes, not from the human animal, not from Hitler or from utopian ideas that have been perverted, but from nationalism.” But this move away from national and religious identity into the realm of radical pluralism across the European landscape has become the open door for Islam, as Pryce-Jones explains:

Into this land with no identity comes a whole bunch of people who know exactly who they are, what they want, and how to get it. They are a community of believers, and boy do they believe. And they’ve come here to show us what belief really looks like. And what do we oppose them with? Social Security and welfare and benefits, and please love us, we’re really very decent people.

Current estimates, which are not easy to calculate because many immigrants remain unregistered, place the total number of Muslims currently living and working in Europe somewhere between 15 and 20 million. France alone is home to 5 million Muslims, and there are an estimated 3 million in Germany. As TownHall.com columnist Jonah Goldberg puts it, these Muslims who are coming from all over the world, “aren’t buying into the European model of peaceful assimilation, tolerance and another round of kumbaya.”

 

Islam is now the fastest growing religion in England, which is home to more than 2 million Muslims, 1,500 mosques, and 100 Islamic schools. According to The London Times, on the third anniversary of Sept. 11th, the Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams spoke from the pulpit of an Egyptian mosque saying that Christianity shared with Islam the common inheritance as “children of Abraham.” Plans are in the works to have Islam taught in English schools, which is also the case in Denmark where, according to the The Copenhagen Post, legislation recently passed making it compulsory for Danish high school students to read sections from the Koran, though there is no such regulation pertaining to the Bible.

 

In Holland, according to the Calgary Sun, the most common name for boys is currently “Mohammed,” and there are some reports that this is the case in Belgium as well. The paper also asserted that in Holland, “there are more observant Muslims than either observant Catholics or Protestants (but not yet all Christians combined),” and there are reportedly 30,000 Dutch converts to Islam. On March 11, 2004, 192 people were killed in a train bombing in Madrid, Spain, by members of Al Qaeda, and one of the demands of the terrorists was the removal of an historic statue of Santiago Matamoros at the cathedral in Compostela, because it was seen as offensive to Muslims. Spaniard officials caved in to the terrorists’s demands and removed the statue.

 

Italy is now home to between 700,000 and one million Muslims. As a result, Islam is the second most dominant religion in that country. The city of Bologna in recent years, according to a London Times article, experienced a controversy over a 600 year old fresco inside the town’s cathedral. Painted by Giovanni da Modena in the fifteenth century, this fresco depicts Dante’s Inferno, and part of this image includes a representation of the prophet Mohammed being tortured in the ninth circle of hell. Islamic extremists have been so offended by this that they have demanded that the fresco be either painted over or destroyed, or else they will blow up the cathedral.

 

Writing for the London Daily Telegraph, Charles Moore asks an interesting question: “Christians want the whole world to be Christian, so what is the difference?” The difference, he argues, is that Muslims are attempting not merely to convert the world by changing minds, but they are also prepared to take what they want by force, since religion and politics in their worldview are one and the same. “Mohammed did not only preach in Mecca,” Moore observes, “he also ruled in Medina, and he conquered. The Sharia is a code of law to be imposed, in all societies, by the public authorities.” Historian Paul Johnson noted similarly in a National Review article that it is untrue that “Islam” means “peace.” In fact, “Islam means ‘submission,’ a very different matter, and one of the functions of Islam, in its more militant aspect, is to obtain that submission from all, if necessary by force.” Johnson went on to suggest that if the flow of Islamic immigrants into Europe continues at its current pace, then it is conceivable that Catholic countries such as France, Italy, and Spain will be predominantly Muslim within a generation.

mgr?s new Israel jumpers/leapers should, in the least, be familiar with, if not educated, insofar as Muslims and their holy book, the Qu?ran is concerned, since the loyal Mohammedans, as their leader, mgr, referred to Muslims, will be dwelling on earth with the jumpers/leapers in mgr?s thousand-year millennial kingdom.

 

In learning about Islam --- its origins, its tenets of faith, etc., one very important distinction must be kept in view, and that is, the origins of the Arabic people go back to 1800 B.C., while the religion of Islam did not sweep across them until 640 A.D.

 

It is also important to recognize that not all Muslims are Arabs, and not all Arabs are direct descendants of Ishmael, just as not all Jews are direct descendants of Isaac.

 

In order to understand Islam?s theological basis for rejecting the Judeo-CHRISTian worldview, one needs to understand two key changes that Islam?s holy book, the Qu?ran, makes in relationship to THE HOLY SCRIPTURES:

 

1) Ishmael replaces Isaac, and

2) Muhammad replaces JESUS

 

mgr?s new Israel should be able to relate to these replacements as they have replaced Israel?s MESSIAH/CHRIST.......JESUS, with their new Israelite leader and Judean Messiah, mgr.

 

Muslims do indeed claim their history as mitrovitch stated, however, in light of THE HOLY SCRIPTURES, they do so illegally, thus, falsely, wrongly.

 

Islam is a counter-reaction to the faith described in THE HOLY SCRIPTURES. Although a reactive child to the Judeo-CHRISTian heritage, Islam has certain beliefs, superficially, in common with Jews and CHRISTians. There is a belief in one GOD, in moral law, in the general SCRIPTURAL mode of history, in prayer, in judgment and reward after this temporal life. (A more detailed outline of Islam?s tenets of faith is forthcoming in a subsequent post.)

 

The Arabs claim Abraham as their patriarch, as do Jews and CHRISTians. They identify with Abraham as their [fore]father, but also with Ishmael. How they view the story of Isaac and Ishmael is of key importance. Even if a person does not believe THE HOLY SCRIPTURES, he/she must acknowledge the foundational impact that the story of Isaac and Ishmael has on the Middle East today.

 

Peace, shalom, salaam. Everyone wants and proclaims.......peace. Peace initiatives, peace organizations, peace marches, peace rallies, peace songs, peace talks......peace, peace, peace.

 

The City of Peace, Yerushalaim (Jerusalem), where more wars have been fought over it than perhaps any other city in the world.

 

Why?

 

Abraham offered Isaac as a sacrifice unto EL SHADDAI on a hill there called Moriah. That act was the mark of a covenant between THE LORD GOD and man through which YESHUA (JESUS), THE MESSIAH would come to effect redemption of the human race.

 

Solomon built the temple on the same hill where Abraham bound Isaac. YHWH, the covenant GOD of the tribes of Jacob/Israel, was revealing HIMSELF as THE ONE GOD to be worshipped by all mankind, and Jerusalem a focal point for the universal worship of THIS ONE GOD. Jerusalem represents THE LORD GOD?S claim of RIGHTFUL PROPRIETOR, REDEEMER, and LORD of Heaven and earth, and all things, visible and invisible.

 

This claim is boldly contested and offensive to everyone who stands in opposition to THE LORD GOD that HE could make such a demand of HIS OWN LORDSHIP and AUTHORITY.

 

Demonic principalities and powers are infuriated over such an encroachment. The philosophy of humanism is more concerned with everyone having his own say than with such an inconvenient imposition of DIVINE RIGHT. Hence, conflict, hence, war, on an individual basis as well as on a global basis. The war in the Middle East is a good example of the latter with Jerusalem playing a major role on the global stage.

 

DIVINE wrath and justice was carried out upon JESUS on the cross as a substitute for mankind, the cross symbolizing THE LORD GOD?S demand for moral accountability upon every one of HIS creatures. If we accept what THE LORD GOD did through JESUS on the cross, that cross symbolizes our liberation, forgiveness and redemption. If we do not accept the sacrifice of JESUS as THE MESSIAH, that same cross becomes a threatening indication of THE LORD GOD?S impending judgment. It can be received either way --- grace or wrath.

 

Just as the cross confronts the conscience of every individual with THE LORD GOD?S justice, so Jerusalem confronts the nations of the world with THE LORD GOD?S sovereignty. It may be received as the city symbolizing peace, or, the cause of war.

 

In THE HOLY SCRIPTURES both JESUS and Jerusalem are referred to as stumbling blocks, rocks of offense.

 

Apostle Paul said that JESUS was a stumbling block to the Jews.

 

?For they stumbled at that stumbling stone, as it is written: "Behold! I lay in Zion a stumbling stone and a rock of offense, and whoever believes on HIM will not be put to shame" (Romans 9:32-33).

 

Zechariah spoke of Jerusalem as a stumbling block for the Gentile nations.

 

?Behold I will make Jerusalem a cup of drunkenness to all the surrounding peoples ... a very heavy stone for all peoples; all who would heave it away will surely be cut in pieces, though all nations of the earth are gathered against it? (Zechariah 12:2-3).

 

There are many religions in the world. All religions have some aspect of philosophical truth in their doctrine. However, the Judeo-CHRISTian claim that THE GOD of THE HOLY SCRIPTURES IS THE ONE AND ONLY GOD, is offensive to other religions. (The fact that there are disagreements and divisions within the various factions of the Judeo-CHRISTian faith does not negate the central assertion that THE GOD of THE HOLY SCRIPTURES IS THE ONE SOVEREIGN LORD AND CREATOR of Heaven and earth, and all things visible, and invisible.)

 

JESUS and Jerusalem are offensive to:

 

---demonic principalities in opposition to THE LORD GOD;

---the adherents of humanistic pluralism in opposition to a theistic world view;

---national political powers which must submit to JESUS? government; and

---the various religions around the world that do not accept THE HOLY SCRIPTURES as authoritative.

 

There is another area of offense, however, that has particular bearing on the conflict in the Middle East, and that is, racial background. The Jews and the Arabs are both Semitic peoples descended from Abraham.

 

The Jews (Israelites) come through Isaac and Jacob, while the Arabs (Ishmaelites) come through Ishmael and Esau. While this fact may seem obscure and a matter of folklore to some, those who understand SCRIPTURAL principles know its significance.

 

(Please note that after several thousand years, these racial lines are not exact. Not all Arabs are direct descendants of Ishmael and Esau, and not all Middle Eastern people are technically Arabs. Likewise, not all Jews are direct descendants of Isaac and Jacob/Israel. The identification with the forefathers, however, holds true.)

 

The primary reason for the military conflict in the Middle East is not political or economic. It stems from religious beliefs, which in turn, are tied to the racial backgrounds of the Arab and Jewish peoples.

 

Despite words to the contrary, ethnic and racial identities weigh heavily in issues considered to be political and economic. Offenses resulting from ethnic barriers and racial prejudices are passed down from generation to generation surprisingly intact. Yesterday?s offenses are part of today?s perceptions, and when it comes to racial issues, the distant past is a living reality. Nowhere is this more true than in the Middle East.

 

The conflict between the Jews and the Arabs goes back to the account of Abraham. He is quite literally, the father of both peoples. THE LORD GOD made a covenant with Abraham (Genesis 12,15,17,22). That covenant promised Abraham that he would prosper both in family and finances. It also made two special provisions to him. The first is that through his seed, all the nations of the earth would be blessed.

 

A distinction between the seed (plural as in Abraham?s descendants), and the seed (singular as in THE SPECIAL DESCENDANT.......JESUS) prophesied in Genesis 22:18, is made by Apostle Paul in Galatians 3:16,

 

?Now the promises were made to Abraham and to his offspring. It does not say, ?And to offsprings,? referring to many, but referring to ONE, ?And to your offspring,? WHO IS CHRIST.?

 

This is one of the early promises dealing with the coming of JESUS, THE MESSIAH/CHRIST.

 

The second provision is that the land of Israel (known then as Canaan) would be given to his (Abrahams?s) descendants (the Israelites/Jews).

 

Contrary to the WILL of GOD, Abraham had his first son, not through Sarah, but through her Egyptian servant girl, Hagar. This son was named Ishmael. God corrected Abraham for his mistake and gave him instructions on how to handle the situation. Ishmael was not to be the son through whom the promises of THE MESSIAH and the land of Canaan were to come. In fact, Ishmael and his future descendants were to be separated from Isaac and his descendants so as not to confuse the fulfillment of the covenant promise. Since Ishmael was also Abraham's son, albeit illegitimately, he received part of the promise having to do with the blessings of family and finances.

 

Sarah said to Abraham:

 

?Cast out the bondwoman (Hagar) and her son (Ishmael); for the son of this bondwoman shall not be heir with my son, namely with Isaac? (Genesis 21:10).

 

THE LORD GOD?S response to Abraham:

 

?Do not let it be displeasing in your sight because of the lad or because of your bondwoman. Whatever Sarah has said to you, listen to her voice; for in Isaac your seed shall be called.

 

Yet I will also make a nation of the son of the bondwoman, because he is [also] your seed? (Genesis 21:12-13).

 

It is imperative that both sides of the issue be grasped.

 

For the sake of the plan of redemption, the MESSIANIC SEED would come through Isaac?s line(age) (the Israelites/Jews), and not through Ishmael?s (the Arabs). The land of Canaan (Israel) also belongs to Isaac?s line(age), the Israelites/Jews. This should not be displeasing to Arabs. There is no insult or racial prejudice involved. It is simply a matter of fulfillment of THE LORD GOD?S promises and prophecy.

 

On the other hand, Ishmael's descendants were to be blessed. They would become a wealthy and powerful nation. They were not cursed, but blessed by THE LORD GOD. They were blessed by Abraham.

 

THE LORD GOD reiterates this promise of blessing to the bondwoman, Hagar.

 

?I will make him (Ishmael) a great nation? (Genesis 21:18).

 

In fact, Ishmael also had twelve sons, and all of them became princely leaders over their own nations.

 

?These are the generations of Ishmael, Abraham?s son, whom Hagar, the Egyptian, Sarah?s servant, bore to Abraham. These are the names of the sons of Ishmael, named in the order of their birth: Nebaioth, the first-born of Ishmael; and Kedar, Adbeel, Mibsam, Mishma, Dumah, Massa, Hadad, Tema, Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah. These are the sons of Ishmael and these are their names, by their villages and by their encampments, twelve princes according to their tribes? (Genesis 25:12-16).

 

Why are the Arab peoples so blessed on the earth today?

 

As descendants of Abraham they have part in THE LORD GOD?S covenant with Abraham. THE LORD GOD promised Abraham both material and redemptive blessings. The redemptive promises could not belong to Hagar's offspring as her relationship with Abraham was not legally proper. However, since Ishmael is also Abraham's son, albeit illegally through Hagar who was not his [legal] wife, his descendants have a right to receive the blessings of finances, family, and the land allotted to them. The ownership of the land of Canaan per se, and the lineage of THE MESSIAH, however, do not belong to them.

 

One must be careful not to view the Arabs as rejected by THE LORD GOD else there is no basis on which they are incorporated into THE LORD GOD?S plan. By the same token, if one does not recognize that two blessings ? the land of Canaan and the line of THE MESSIAH ? are exclusively the jurisdiction of the Jews, the purpose of THE KINGDOM OF GOD will have been misunderstood.

 

Ironically, many of the Jews have missed the spiritual revelation of JESUS as THE MESSIAH due to their focusing on the legal aspects of the Abrahamic covenant. The material/physical promise of blessing was extended through Abraham to both the Jews and the Arabs. The legal promises of lineage and land belong exclusively to the Jews. The spiritual promises can be applied to an individual of any background who believes in JESUS, whether that person be Jew, Arab or Gentile.

 

In his epistle to the CHRISTians in Galatia, Apostle Paul couldn?t be clearer on this point.

 

?There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female, for you are all one in CHRIST JESUS. And if you are CHRIST'S, then you are Abraham?s offspring, heirs according to promise.? (Galatians 3:28-29)

 

Interestingly, the descendants of Ishmael accepted their own promise of blessing and rejected the covenantal promises to the Jews; and just as the Arabic people have persecuted the Jews, so did the Jews persecute the early believers in JESUS. The Jews accepted the legal covenant and rejected the spiritual revelation of JESUS THE MESSIAH. Tragically, many Gentiles, CHRISTian and non-CHRISTian have in turn, persecuted the Jews.

 

If one is to witness the fullness of THE LORD GOD?S plan, one must put away racial pride and prejudice in order to see THE LORD GOD working through those outside of their own culture and community. One must also be able to understand JESUS in both HIS human and DIVINE aspects.

 

?... concerning HIS SON JESUS CHRIST our LORD, WHO was born of the seed of David according to the flesh, and declared to be THE SON OF GOD ... according to THE SPIRIT... by HIS resurrection from the dead? (Romans 1:3-4).

 

In HIS DIVINITY, JESUS is the universal and eternal SON OF GOD. In HIS humanity, JESUS is a Jewish man of the lineage of King David. We need to understand both the spiritual and the physical dimensions. Jews should not be offended by the MESSIAHship of JESUS, and CHRISTians should not be offended by HIS Jewishness.

 

Arabs should not be offended by the events recorded in Genesis. They have a magnificent heritage, as rich as any ethnic group on the face of the earth. They should see themselves blessed in every way. They have intelligence, culture, riches and a glorious destiny. What is not theirs is the lineage of JESUS. Huge tracts of land in the Middle East are granted them by THE LORD GOD. What is not theirs is the land of Israel (Canaan).

 

THE LORD GOD?S blessings on the Arabs can also be seen in Isaiah 19:24-25.

 

?In that day Israel will be one of three with Egypt and Assyria, even a blessing in the midst of the land, whom THE LORD OF HOSTS shall bless, saying, "Blessed is Egypt MY people, and Assyria the work of MY hands, and Israel MY inheritance."

 

THE LORD GOD?S plan is for reconciliation between Jew and Arab, Jew and Gentile --- but according to HIS standard --- JESUS.

 

Again, it must be remembered that not all Arabs are Muslims. The Arabs are a people who are descended from Abraham, Ishmael and Esau. Muslims are members of a religion called Islam which was started by Muhammad in the seventh century A.D. There have been many Arabs who were CHRISTians, and are CHRISTians today. Faith in JESUS as THE MESSIAH is open to the full spectrum of races: Jew, Arab, White, Black, Oriental and Hispanic.

 

In fact, Jews and Arabs have not always been at enmity. There were times when Jews flourished in lands under Arab control. The Talmud was compiled in the highly developed culture of the Jews in Iraq during the first five centuries after the time of CHRIST. The Sephardic Jews derive their name from the prosperous period they experienced in Spain during the Middle Ages under Muslim rule.

 

Racial difficulties, whether real or perceived, prevent people from being reconciled to one another and from seeing the other's point of view. More than we may realize, racial pride and prejudice keeps people from spiritual truths. Ethnic insult and injury creates receptivity to religious deception. Islam is a case in point.

 

An Arab tradition grew that it was unfair of Isaac and Jacob to have usurped the blessings of GOD from the Arab forefathers. Ishmael and Esau, after all, were the firstborn, and therefore they deserved the blessing and the birthright. The Jews were seen not as the rightful heirs of the MESSIANIC promise but as thieves who deserve to be booted out of their position. THE HOLY SCRIPTURES were not seen as THE LORD GOD?S DIVINE WILL concerning the covenants but as a propaganda document, justifying and promoting the Jews' unjust view of history.

 

This racial/historical offense is somewhat ironic as there were only two areas of promise withheld from the Arabs. The first was the lineage of JESUS, WHOM the majority of Jews and Arabs have rejected anyway. Many Jews have seen HIM more as a curse than a blessing. The second was the land of Israel, and the Arabs were given ten times more land than Israel. The Arabic lands today are the ones bringing in all the revenue from the oil wells.

 

Jews have also had their share of pride. Pride in their chosenness has contributed disastrously to making the Arabs feel alienated from them, which in turn has contributed to the Arabs? difficulty in accepting THE HOLY SCRIPTURES? revelations. In addition, Jews? pride in being chosen has made them misunderstand what that chosenness actually means, thereby, not fulfilling the mission of that chosenness. They concocted an elaborate religious mystique about being Jewish, and rejected the very MESSIAH WHO gave that Jewish lineage any meaning initially. Their destiny as Jews was to introduce YESHUA THE MESSIAH, THE LIGHT of the world to the world. In part that was done; in large degree it was not.

 

Jewish pride contributed to the Arabs' resentment of them. Pride and prejudice on the Jews? part led to insult and injury on the Arabs? part.

 

Enter --- Islam --- a reaction to the Judeo-CHRISTian faith. Islam reinterprets the SCRIPTURAL account of Jews and Arabs in a way that makes the Arabs more prominent. The problem is that the Qu?ranic version is not true, historically or spiritually. If the Arabs had not felt that their pride had been offended, they would not have been open to such a deception. Wounded pride made them feel resentful. That resentment made them susceptible to a reinterpretation of SCRIPTURAL history that would give them an upper hand.

 

This racial resentment is reflected in the reaction that Esau had when he realized that Jacob had stolen his blessing.

 

?So Esau hated Jacob because of the blessing with which his father blessed him, and Esau said in his heart, "The days of mourning for my father are at hand; then I will kill my brother Jacob" (Genesis 27:41).

 

Unfortunately, traces of that desire for revenge have been nursed through the centuries by the descendants of Ishmael and Esau.

 

This is where the racial and religious conflicts began. The resentment over Isaac and Jacob constitutes a spiritual barrier that prevents the Arab peoples from being reconciled to the Jews. And because JESUS was a Jew, that barrier also prevents them from believing that JESUS is THE SAVIOR of the world.

 

If racial resentment can be neutralized and dissolved, the Arabs may be able to accept the Jews. If the Arabs can accept the role of the Jews, they will be more open to THE GOSPEL (message) of the Jewish MESSIAH. When an Arab comes to believe in JESUS, thus, be reconciled with the Jewish people, he has to overcome the racial and religious barriers of the centuries. This requires courage and a pure heart for THE LORD GOD and HIS TRUTH, JESUS. There are courageous Arabs with a pure heart for THE LORD GOD and HIS TRUTH, JESUS, unfortunately, they often suffer horrible persecution at the hands of their kinsmen as a consequence.

 

THE LORD GOD WHO IS.......LOVE.......is a requisite for spiritual power. Racial prejudice is a deep-seated barrier that keeps people from loving one another. Therefore dissolution of racial offense is a fundamental principle of THE KINGDOM OF GOD.

 

Apostle Paul addresses the issue of racial prejudice, distinguishing between ?circumcision? (Jews) and ?uncircumcision? (Gentiles), in his explanation regarding some of the reasons for JESUS? life and death.

 

?Therefore remember that at one time you Gentiles in the flesh, called ?the uncircumcision? by what is called the circumcision, which is made in the flesh by hands--- remember that you were at that time separated from CHRIST, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without GOD in the world.

 

But now in CHRIST JESUS you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of CHRIST. For HE HIMSELF is our peace, WHO has made us both one and has broken down in HIS flesh the dividing wall of hostility by abolishing the law of commandments and ordinances, that HE might create in HIMSELF one new man in place of the two, so making peace, and might reconcile us both to GOD in one body through the cross, thereby killing the hostility.

 

And HE came and preached peace to you who were far off and peace to those who were near. For through HIM we both have access in one SPIRIT to THE FATHER. So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of GOD, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, CHRIST JESUS HIMSELF being the cornerstone, in WHOM the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in THE LORD. In HIM you also are being built together into a dwelling place for GOD by THE SPIRIT.? (Ephesians 2:11-22)

 

And a bit more concisely:

 

?For in CHRIST JESUS neither circumcision (Jew) nor uncircumcision (Gentile) avails anything, but a new creation.? (Galatians 6:15)

 

These verses are intended to remove the grounds of racial separation and any other type of alienation through negative perceptions of [ethnic or cultural] identity. The purpose of these verses is not to create uniformity but to remove prejudice and allow for unity by sharing THE TRUTH.......JESUS, and allowing THE HOLY SPIRIT to unite people through knowledge of their CREATOR.......THE LORD.......GOD.......WHO IS SPIRIT.......THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH.

 

Obviously THE LORD GOD is not promoting unisex styles here, as dhs immaturely and sarcastically implied. Co-regency, or equality of the sexes, comes by allowing men to be men and women to be women.......in THE LORD, i.e., believers.

 

The wall of prejudice is dissolved not by making the Jew act like a Gentile, or making the Gentile act like the Jew, but by both Jews and Gentiles not boasting in their identities as Abraham?s offspring (the chosen) since both fall short of the glory of THE LORD GOD, and are Abraham?s offspring (the chosen) solely by virtue of JESUS? merit.

 

Racial pride and prejudice are major spiritual obstacles to unity in the body of CHRIST as is boasting in one?s culture and its customs, traditions, etc.

 

A wrong attitude on the part of the Jews has fostered a negative reaction among the Arabs. That negative reaction has allowed for religious deception to mislead many of the Arab peoples. For centuries, the Arabs harbored an offense against the Jews because of the events connected with Abraham. That offense caused them to be resistant to the SCRIPTURAL revelation coming through the Jews, namely, salvation and redemption through JESUS. That resistance ultimately led the Arabic peoples to be open to Islam, which is a counterfeit of SCRIPTURAL faith.

 

One of the key tenets of Islam is that it reverses the account of what happened between Isaac and Ishmael. In Islam, Ishmael is seen as the covenant child of promise. Isaac is relegated to a lower position. This is a significant difference since it makes void the lineage claim of JESUS as THE MESSIAH. It also portrays JESUS as a prophet of secondary importance to Muhammad, who, in Islam, is GOD?S primary harbinger of truth to the human race.

 

Take a proud ancient people, add in the nursing of a several thousand-year grudge against the Jews and later the CHRISTians, remove Isaac as the promised child and with him all the divine authority protecting the Jews as a people and their right to the land of Israel, remove JESUS as THE ANOINTED ONE of GOD and with HIM all the divine inspiration behind the CHRISTian faith, cook it for several thousand years, and voila! you have a fanatical movement that is driving millions of people to oppose THE LORD GOD?S plans for universal redemption, while they claim to simultaneously call on HIM in prayer.

 

Since there are some SCRIPTURAL truths found in Islam?s belief system, and since the Arabs themselves are gracious people, it is not obvious at first glance which elements are in error (more on this forthcoming). Since there is a limited awareness in the church concerning THE LORD GOD?S irrevocable promises to the Jewish people, many CHRISTians question whether they should support Israel. No wonder there is confusion about what to believe in regard to the Middle East crisis.

 

The consolation for believers, however, is that there is hope for reconciliation [between Jews and Arabs], and conquering the forces of evil which separate them. The times may be dark, but there is a GREATER LIGHT dawning within that darkness. In his brief of what Muslims believe, mitrovitch, intentionally or unintentionally, omitted some of the crucial points of Islam?s belief system as it relates to THE HOLY SCRIPTURES and to the Judeo-CHRISTian faith.

 

The book of Proverbs teaches:

What is Islam? What are its origins? What are its tenets of faith? What do its followers believe?

 

For Muslims, their holy book, the Qur'an, is the definitive word of God spoken to the prophet Muhammad by the angel Gabriel. Muslims believe that when they read the Qur'an, they are reading, quite literally, the voice of God. Because the Qur'an is the direct speech of God in Arabic, translation of the work is seen as blasphemy, as an unforgivable tampering with God?s own speech.

 

Nonetheless, the Qur'an has been translated into Turkish and Farsi in this century and is recited in these languages in religious services in Turkey and Iran. The Muslim community tolerates this but just barely. For all practical purposes, to be Muslim means almost universally to be able to read and understand classical Arabic, despite what one's native language is.

 

The recitation began one night in the year 610 A.D., when Muhammad, born in Medina in 570, was asleep in Ramadan; a voice from heaven called out to him with the command, "Recite! Recite! Recite!" The angel recited three verses to him and when he awoke he had these verses, as he said, inscribed in his heart. From that point on, Muhammad believed himself to be a prophet and messenger of God, the last in a line of seven prophets (beginning with Abraham and ending with Jesus Christ, who was prophet number six), and responsible for inscribing the last and most important of God's direct messages to the world, the Arabic Recitation, which is the full name of the work.

 

The people of God, that is, the Jews and the Christians, were going astray; the purpose of the Arabic Recitation was to restore God's faithful to the proper path.

 

At different times in Muhammad's life the recitations would come to him; he would then repeat what he had heard and these would be memorized by certain people trained in remembering verses; some of these verses were written down on whatever was at hand.

 

All these writings were collected in the caliphate (the office or jurisdiction of a caliph---the spiritual head and temporal ruler of the Islamic state; the last caliphate was held by Ottoman Turkish sultans until it was abolished by Kemal Atat? 1924) of 'Uthman and the canonical text was established around 650 A.D. The writings were organized into a group of surahs (chapters) and ordered according to length (each surah is meant to be a single recitation), though all Muslims also know the chronological order of the recitations. The order of the surahs (chapters), however, does not reflect the chronological order of the Quranic verses, nor does the surah structure reflect the nature of the original Quranic revelation.

 

During his lifetime, Muhammad received individual verses revealed to him; these revelations occurred unexpectedly and in surprising places. Typically, revelation would put Muhammad in a trance-like state. He, and others, would memorize the revealed verses and, under the guidance of Gabriel, Muhammad organized these verses into the existing surahs. The intervention of Gabriel in ordering the various verses in Islamic history is meant to guarantee not only the sanctity of the individual verses, but the religious validity of the organization of these verses in the Qur'an.

 

The Qur'an was an oral text throughout the lifetime of Muhammad. The complete text resided only in the memories of Muhammad and his followers. As he added verses and reorganized the text, his followers would re-memorize the text in light of the additions or edits. Certain verses revealed to Muhammad were later repudiated by him as "satanic" verses revealed not by Gabriel but by satan. These verses were expunged from the memorized text.

 

After the death of Muhammad, the text of the Qur'an was written down in the caliphate of Abu Bakr (the caliph whose 9-year old daughter, Ayesha, Muhammad married when he was 54, nine years before his death at 63). Until 'Uthman, one and only one written text existed. For over a decade after the death of Muhammad, the Qur'an remained primarily an oral text in the memories of the faithful. In Islamic accounts of the history of the Qur'an, this oral text remained entirely faithful to the original verses, although Western historians generally agree that some corruptions must have produced slight variations throughout the Islamic world.

 

Nevertheless, the military and religious expansion of Islam (initiated by Islam) led to two direct consequences concerning the integrity of the Quranic text. First, large numbers of the faithful were dying out in the various [islamic] military expeditions (China, India, along the Southern shore of the Mediterranean and into Spain by 750 AD, and into Europe, Vienna, by 1550, with Muslims currently concentrated from the West coast of Africa to the Philippines. In Africa, in particular, they are increasing in numbers, largely at the expense of CHRISTianity).

 

Each time someone died who had the Quranic text memorized, it meant that one copy of the Qur'an disappeared forever. Second, the expansion of Islam swelled the ranks of the faithful. Many of these new converts spoke other languages and the original Arabic of the Qur'an began to be corrupted. Faced with these two threats to the integrity of the Qur'an, 'Uthman ordered a rescension (modified version of a text which is assembled from all the variant versions of that text) of the text to be made and to serve as the definitive written version of the text. 'Uthman, however, relied on two sources: the written text that had been ordered by Abu Bakr and that still existed, and the various oral texts of Muslims who memorized it during the lifetime of Muhammad.

 

In Islamic history, there is no variation between these two sources, so the Uthmanic rescension is largely a codifying of a single version of a text. This version, the 'Uthmanic rescension, is the version of the Qur'an that has remained, unchanged, as the central holy text of Islam.

 

The Qur'an has one overriding theme endlessly repeated and elaborated throughout the text: complete submission (in Arabic: islam; muslim means "one who submits") to the word and the will of one God, who is the only God. The God of Islam is both a stern judge and endlessly forgiving; obedience to God eradicates all transgression. This submission, however, must be fully and rationally given; faith (iman) is a rational consent to "the truth of the word of God." Therefore, much of the Qu'ran concerns "the word of God" and how it is received and believed, or not received and believed as the case may be.

 

The Qu?ran is a cache of ethical and religious principles; how people are to behave towards one another; how the human world is divided; human activities which indicate faith; the role of mercy; the role of violence; the theory of history which seems to animate this account; the reasons people choose not to believe the prophets from Allah. The ?theme? of a surah is the nature of Allah?s ?signs.? What are these signs? What guarantees their truth? Why are they called "manifest"? Why do they not convince the unbelievers?

 

Readers of the Qu?ran may find the text a bit disorganized and repetitious; the compositional principle of the Qur'an is called in Arabic, haqqiqah, or "formless essence." This is understood to mean that the various commands, injunctions, and accounts of God take on their fullest meaning by being repeated in several different combinations.

 

Following is ?the faith? Muhammad brought to the people. Comparisons to THE HOLY SCRIPTURES, which incidently, Muslims say they also believe (as they were originally revealed - per their understanding of what was originally revealed), will be made appropriately.

One translation of the Qu?ran, 98:1-8, states: ?The unbelievers among the People of the Book and the pagans shall burn for ever in the fire of Hell. They are the vilest of all creatures.? (?People of the Book? refers to Christians, Jews and Muslims). Paradise is a place of physical and spiritual pleasure where the sinless go after death.

KABUL, Afghanistan — An Afghan man who allegedly converted from Islam to Christianity is being prosecuted in a Kabul court and could be sentenced to death, a judge said Sunday.

 

The defendant, Abdul Rahman, was arrested last month after his family went to the police and accused him of becoming a Christian, Judge Ansarullah Mawlavezada told the Associated Press in an interview. Such a conversion would violate the country's Islamic laws.

 

Rahman, who is believed to be 41, was charged with rejecting Islam when his trial started last week, the judge said.

 

During the hearing, the defendant allegedly confessed that he converted from Islam to Christianity 16 years ago when he was 25 and working as a medical aid worker for Afghan refugees in neighboring Pakistan, Mawlavezada said.

 

Afghanistan's constitution is based on Shariah law, which states that any Muslim who rejects their religion should be sentenced to death.

 

"We are not against any particular religion in the world. But in Afghanistan, this sort of thing is against the law," the judge said. "It is an attack on Islam. ... The prosecutor is asking for the death penalty."

 

The prosecutor, Abdul Wasi, said the case was the first of its kind in Afghanistan.

 

He said that he had offered to drop the charges if Rahman changed his religion back to Islam, but the defendant refused.

 

Mawlavezada said he would rule on the case within two months.

 

Afghanistan is a deeply conservative society and 99 percent of its 28 million people are Muslim. The rest are mainly Hindus.

I find it really curious that Rudometkin's writings have so many similarities to the teachings of Islam. Prayer rug, salvation through works, virgins in heaven, deceased illegitimate children being held in a dark swampy place, exclusivity in heaven, Jesus was not eternal, a man, and the use of the name Akhmet and Rudometkin's God wife Akhmetala. I wonder how Rudometkin's memoirs read before their sanitization by Mr. Fuzzyface? Rudometkins was imprisoned at Suzdal, which was exclusively for anti Orthodox religious low lifes and could have easily converted to Islam. I'm sure the guests at Suzdal's School for Bad Boys can play pretty rough.....SF I wonder how much sanitization was done?

It has been stated previously that mgr’s faithful ones have much more in common with the religion of Islam than they realize.

To reiterate their final principal hero’s testimony/words regarding Muslims (the “loyal Mohammedans” as mgr called them):

“Longing, I await the future of eternally living freedom; the bright, incomprehensible reward, or that earthly thousand year enthronement of joy.

In which God Himself will subjugate to me (mgr) all the Mohammedan earthly kings, and through them, for my (mgr’s) sake, will destroy everywhere the thrones of the pagan kings!” (mgr - book 5, article 18, verses 1-2)

“Our (new Israel jumper/leaper) homes will be constructed, in effect, from the wood of fruit trees and with stones of hewn marble; and together with this, will be all the kings of the ethnical Mohammedans essentially, whom will remain to live with us upon the blessed earth for a thousand years.” (mgr - book 6, article 21, verse 14)

“During that time (the thousand years) actually, in our presence, no false-christians, pig eaters, nor worshippers of the abominable will remain anywhere, not even one, throughout the whole of our promised land with the exception of the loyal Mohammedans. [Titus 1:15-16]” (mgr - book 6, article 22, verse 1)

“Whereby, all this brilliance of our new city will radiate the mark of sanctimony; and at the same time, to all the Mohammedan kings and all their people, whom in all places will remain to dwell within all our new promised land.” (mgr - book 6, article 23, verse 5)

Now we know there are many antichrists and false prophets/teachers that have gone out into the world as the apostle John (the same Apostle John who was given the “revelation” of JESUS CHRIST aka the book of Revelation) wrote during his day:

“Children, it is the last hour, and as you have heard that antichrist is coming, so now many antichrists have come. Therefore we know that it is the last hour. They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us. But they went out, that it might become plain that they all are not of us.” (1 John 2:18-19)

“Who is the liar but he who denies that JESUS is THE CHRIST? This is the antichrist, he who denies THE FATHER and THE SON.” (1 John 2:22)

“For many deceivers have gone out into the world, those who do not confess the coming of JESUS CHRIST in the flesh. Such a one is the deceiver and the antichrist. (2 John 7)

Recalling the Muslims/mgr’s “loyal Mohammedans’” belief/faith:

1) In a single, indivisible God. God, the creator, is just, omnipotent and merciful. “Allah” is often used to refer to God, however, its origin is linked to the pagan god, Hubal, represented by a statue of red carnelian.

2) In the divine scriptures, which include the Torah, the Psalms, the rest of the Bible (as they were originally revealed), and the Qu’ran (which they believe is composed of God’s words, dictated by the Archangel Gabriel to Muhammad).

3) In the messengers of God, including Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, David, Jesus and Muhammad --- the last prophet/messenger. Muhammad’s message is considered the final, universal message for all of humanity.

4) In the Day of Judgment when people will be judged on the basis of their deeds while on earth, and will either attain reward of Heaven or punishment in Hell. They do not believe that Jesus or any other individual can atone for another person’s sin. Hell is where unbelievers and sinners spend eternity. One translation of the Qu’ran, 98:1-8, states: “The unbelievers among the People of the Book and the pagans shall burn for ever in the fire of Hell. They are the vilest of all creatures.” (“People of the Book” refers to Christians, Jews and Muslims). Paradise is a place of physical and spiritual pleasure where the sinless go after death.

5) God did not have a son.

6) JESUS is a prophet, born of the Virgin Mary. They regard the Christian concept of the deity of Jesus to be blasphemous; it is seen as a form of polytheism.

7) JESUS was not executed on the cross. He escaped crucifixion, later reappeared to His disciples, and was taken up into Paradise.

8) Muslims who sincerely repent and submit to God return to a state of sinlessness.

9) All children are born in Al-Fitra (a pure, natural state of submission to Islam, the true religion), and that a child’s parents sometimes make him/her Christian, Jewish, etc.

10) When a child reaches puberty, an account of their deeds is opened in Paradise. When the person dies, their eventual destination (Heaven or Hell) depends on the balance of their good deeds (helping others, testifying to the truth of God, leading a virtuous life) and their bad deeds.

11) There is no original sin (i.e., that everyone inherits a sinful nature because of Adam and Eve’s transgression).

12) JESUS was not resurrected (nor resurrected Himself) circa 30 A.D.

13) Salvation is not dependent upon belief in the resurrection of JESUS (because they don’t believe in JESUS’ crucifixion and resurrection).

As significant as these “interconnections” are between mgr and his faithful ones, and the “loyal Mohammedans” aka Muslims, who will be dwelling with mgr and his faithful ones in his millennial kingdom, there is one that categorically places them in the camp of THE LORD GOD’S adversary --- the one whom the written word of GOD refers to as “the Antichrist” (aka “the beast”) and his “False Prophet.” (Revelation 13)

Many are aware (or should be) no doubt that Islam is the world’s second largest and fastest growing religion in the world today. Currently there are 1.5 billion Muslims with numbers increasing daily.

THE HOLY SCRIPTURES makes it clear that the devil’s/Satan’s primary plan for the end time is to raise up two men, “leaders” known as “the Antichrist” and “the False Prophet,” as his instruments to deceive the inhabitants of the earth.

The first beast, known as “the Antichrist,” will not come claiming he is “Satan.” He will come acting like he is “God,” and the second beast will declare the first one is “God” and force the world to worship “the Antichrist” as “God.” (Revelation 13)

The fact that there are two beasts is self explanatory. In Revelation 19:20 their future imprisonments are foretold:

“And the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.” (Revelation 19:20)

But before then, they will wreak havoc and destruction upon the world.

Again we know from the apostle John that there were/are many who hold these titles of “antichrist” and “false prophet” and they have existed throughout the ages just as they do in this age. Interestingly though there is a distinction between the “many” who have and hold these titles and the [two] persons THE HOLY SCRIPTURES refer to as “the Antichrist” and “False Prophet” in that the destruction these two “beasts” wreak on the earth is of the magnitude which has never been in history.

Interestingly enough to the observant CHRISTian is the fact that in Islamic eschatology (study of end times), there are two personages who fit “the Antichrist” and “the False Prophet” described in THE HOLY SCRIPTURES, like a hand and glove.

They are:

1) Islam’s long awaited “Mahdi.” In Arabic this “al-Mahdi” means “the Guided One” and he is sometimes called “Sahib Al-Zaman” or “Al-Mahdi al-Muntadhar” which translated mean “the Lord of the Age” and “the Awaited Savior”; he is the Muslims’ “caliph” viewed somewhat as “the Pope,” the vice-regent for Allah on the earth.

2) Islam’s “Muslim Jesus.” The “Muslim Jesus” is a twisted perversion of the SCRIPTURAL JESUS in that instead of espousing the will of GOD THE FATHER, “the Muslim Jesus” espouses the will of “the Mahdi.”

Muslims (the “loyal Mohammedans” as mgr called them) believe “the Madhi” (their “Awaited Savior”) to be a future Muslim world leader who will not only rule over the Islamic world but the non-Muslim world as well. According to Islamic traditions or “hadiths” (a limited number of which are mentioned in this post), “the Mahdi” is to lead a world revolution with the objective of establishing a new Islamic world order throughout the entire earth:

"The Mahdi will establish right and justice in the world and eliminate evil and corruption. He will fight against the enemies of the Muslims who would be victorious. He will reappear on the appointed day, and then he will fight against the forces of evil, lead a world revolution, and set up a new world order based on justice, righteousness, and virtue….ultimately the righteous will take the world administration in their hands and Islam will be victorious over all the religions.

He is the precursor of the victory of the Truth and the fall of all tyrants. He heralds the end of injustice and oppression and the beginning of the final rising of the sun of Islam which will never again set and which will ensure happiness and the elevation of mankind…. The Mahdi is one of Allah’s clear signs which will soon be made evident to everyone."

It is through multiple military campaigns or holy wars (jihads) that “the Mahdi” will accomplish world revolution.

According to Islamic tradition, “the Madhi’s” ascendancy to power is to be preceded by an army from the East carrying black flags or banners of war. Muslim Sheikh Kabbani states:

"Hadith (Islamic tradition) indicate that black flags coming from the area of Khorasan will signify the appearance of the Mahdi is nigh. Khorasan is in today’s Iran, and some [Muslim] scholars have said that this hadith means when the black flags appear from Central Asia, i.e., in the direction of Khorasan, then the appearance of the Mahdi is imminent."

Islam waves two flags. One is white and one is black. Written across both flags in Arabic are the words, “There is no God but Allah and Muhammad is his Messenger.” The white flag is called “Al-Liwaa” and serves as the sign for the leader of the Muslim army and is the flag of the Islamic state. The black flag is called “Ar-Raya” and is used by the Muslim army. It is also called the flag of “jihad,” and is carried into battle. One flag is governmental and the other is military.

When Muhammad returned to his home city of Mecca after eight years of exile, he returned as a “conqueror.” With him marched ten thousand Muslim soldiers. They carried with them black flags. On the flag was one word written in Arabic: “punishment.”

Islamic tradition pictures “the Mahdi” as joining the army of Muslim warriors carrying black flags. “The Mahdi” will lead this army to Israel and re-conquer it for Islam. The Muslims will slaughter Jews until very few remain and Jerusalem will serve as the location of “the Mahdi’s” rule over the earth:

"Rasulullah [Muhammad] said: ‘Armies carrying black flags will come from Khurasan. No power will be able to stop them and they will finally reach Eela [baitul Maqdas in Jerusalem] where they will erect their flags.’"

It is important to note here the reference in the above quote to “Baitul Maqdas.” In Arabic this means “the holy house.” This refers to the Dome of the Rock Mosque located on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.

A very famous tradition often quoted throughout the Islamic world speaks of “the Mahdi’s” military campaign against Israel:

"The Prophet (Muhammad) said…the last hour would not come unless the Muslims will fight against the Jews and the Muslims would kill them until the Jews would hide themselves behind a stone or a tree and a stone or a tree would say: Muslim, or the servant of Allah, there is a Jew behind me; come and kill him."

Despite the fact that Muslims view THE HOLY SCRIPTURES as changed and corrupted by Jews and CHRISTians, they claim to believe that some portions of the “original” inspired books remain within the “corrupted” SCRIPTURES.

Thus another Islamic tradition (hadith) comes from the Muslim interpretation of “the rider on a white horse” found in Revelation 6:2 of THE HOLY SCRIPTURES. Muslims believe this rider to be “the Mahdi.”

In their book titled “Al Mahdi and the End of Time,” two well-known Egyptian authors, Muhammad Ibn ‘Izzat and Muhammad ‘Arif, write:

"I find the Mahdi recorded in the books of the Prophets…. For Instance, the Book of Revelation says: ‘And I saw and beheld a white horse. He that sat on him…went forth conquering and to conquer."

They further state:

"It is clear that this man is “the Mahdi” who will ride the white horse and judge by the Qur’an [with justice] and with whom will be men with marks of prostration on their foreheads [marks on their foreheads from bowing in prayer with their head to the ground five times daily]."

In one final very interesting series of traditions regarding “the Mahdi” is found that he is said to produce some previously undiscovered Bible scrolls---even the Ark of the Covenant itself:

"Ka’b al-Ahbar says, ‘He will be called ‘Mahdi’ because he will guide [yahdi] to something hidden and will bring out the Torah and Gospel from a town called Antioch.’

As-Suyuti mentioned in al-Hawi that the messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, ‘He is called the Mahdi because he will guide the people to a mountain in Syria from which he will bring out the volumes of the Torah to refute the Jews. At the hands of the Mahdi the Ark of the Covenant will be brought forth from the Lake of Tiberias and taken and placed in Jerusalem.’

Ad-Dani said that he is called the Mahdi because he will be guided to a mountain in Syria from which he will bring for the the volumes of the Torah with which to argue against the Jews and at his hands a group of them will become Muslim.’"

Apparently the purpose of finding these “lost” portions of the Old and New Testaments as well as the Ark of the Covenant is to help “the Mahdi” win converts from both CHRISTianity and Judaism prior to “eradicating” the remainder who do not convert to Islam.

Although not all of the “hadiths” (Islamic traditions) have been presented regarding “the Mahdi,” below is a detailed summary of this person and his mission as he exists in the minds of the 1.5 billion Muslims worldwide. Remember, this is the man that Muslims (mgr’s “loyal Mohammedans,” the ones with whom mgr and his faithful ones will be dwelling in his millennial kingdom) eagerly await:

1) “The Mahdi” is Islam’s primary “messiah” figure.
2) He will be a descendant of Muhammad and will bear Muhammad’s name (Muhammad bin Abdullah).
3) He will be a very devout Muslim.
4) He will be an unparalleled spiritual, political, and military world leader.
5) He will emerge after a period of great turmoil and suffering upon the earth.
6) He will establish justice and righteousness throughout the world and eradicate tyranny and oppression.
7) He will be the “caliph” and “imam” (vice regent and leader) of Muslims worldwide.
8) He will lead a world revolution and establish a new world order.
9) He will lead military action against all those who oppose him.
10) He will invade many countries.
11) He will make a seven-year peace treaty with a Jew of priestly lineage.
12) He will conquer Israel for Islam and lead the “faithful Muslims” in a final slaughter/battle against Jews.
13) He will establish the new Islamic world headquarters from Jerusalem.
14) He will rule for seven years (possibly as much as eight or nine).
15) He will cause Islam to be the only religion practiced on the earth.
16) He will appear riding a white horse (possibly symbolic).
17) He will discover some previously undiscovered Biblical manuscripts that he will use to argue with the Jews and cause some Jews to convert to Islam.
18) He will also re-discover the Ark of the Covenant from the Sea of Galilee, which he will bring to Jerusalem.
19) He will have supernatural power from Allah over the wind and the rain and crops.
20) He will be loved by all the people of the earth.

Now let us compare “the Antichrist” described in THE HOLY SCRIPTURES and the Islamic “Mahdi.”

According to THE HOLY SCRIPTURES “the Antichrist” is Satan’s primary human agent on the earth in the end times. Interestingly, THE HOLY SCRIPTURES refer to him only once by that specific name (1 John 2:18). Although using other names, however, there are numerous references to “the Antichrist” found throughout THE HOLY SCRIPTURES. Some of the various names that SCRIPTURE assigns to him are “the beast” (Revelation 13:4); “the abomination that causes desolation” (Matthew 24:15); “the desolator” (D a n i e l 9:27), “the man of sin,” “the man of lawlessness,” “the son of destruction” (2 Thessalonians 2), “the little horn” (D a n i e l 7:8), “the Assyrian” (Micah 5:5; Isaiah 10:5, 14:25), “the oppressor,” “the king of Babylon” (Isaiah 14), and even “Gog” (Ezekiel 38:1; Revelation 20:7). There are several other names that SCRIPTURE uses to refer to “the Antichrist” as well.

From THE HOLY SCRIPTURES we learn that in the end times (last days) “the Antichrist” will emerge as a man who will lead a very powerful world empire, the likes of which history has yet to produce. This powerful leadership role of “the Antichrist” is first described clearly in the written word of GOD aka THE HOLY SCRIPTURES by the prophet D a n i e l. In the Book of D a n i e l, in the seventh chapter, D a n i e l describes a vision of four very bizarre and gruesome “beasts.” After describing the first three beasts, D a n i e l says this of the fourth:

“After that, in my vision at night I looked and there before me was a fourth beast---terrifying and frightening and very powerful. It had large iron teeth; it crushed and devoured its victims and trampled underfoot whatever was left. It was different from all the former beasts, and it had ten horns. While I was thinking about the horns, there before me was another horn, a little one, which came up among them; and three of the first horns were uprooted before it. This horn had eyes like the eyes of a man and a mouth that spoke boastfully.” (D a n i e l 7:7-8)

In verses 15-16, D a n i e l asks an angel in his vision to explain the interpretation of the vision of the four beasts. The angel explains that the four beasts represent four very great kingdoms or empires:

“I, D a n i e l, was troubled in spirit, and the visions that passed through my mind disturbed me. I approached one of those standing there and asked him the true meaning of all this. So he told me and gave me the interpretation of these things: ‘The four great beasts are four kingdoms that will rise from the earth.’” (D a n i e l 7:15-17)

Actually, it’s pretty straightforward. D a n i e l again asks the angel specifically about the fourth beast and in particular about the “little horn” that uprooted three horns. The angel again responds with a very direct and clear explanation:

“He gave me this explanation: ‘The fourth beast is a fourth kingdom that will appear on earth. It will be different form all the other kingdoms and will devour the whole earth, trampling it down and crushing it. The ten horns are ten kings who will come from this kingdom. After them another king will arise, different from the earlier ones; he will subdue three kings.’” (D a n i e l 7:23-24)

Essentially, the angel explains that the fourth kingdom causes great destruction to the whole earth. Initially, this kingdom will consist of ten kings. Then another king, an eleventh, will arise and displace three of the previous kings. This eleventh king is “the Antichrist,” first referred to as “the little horn.” Thus we see that based on the vision that D a n i e l saw, “the Antichrist” is a future king who will first gain control over three other kingdoms or nations, and eventually over ten, thus forming his future ten-nation “beast(ly)” empire---an empire of unparalleled power and ferocity which will “devour the whole earth, trampling it down and crushing it.”

In the last part of D a n i e l chapter seven, the angel describes to D a n i e l the actions of this king as well as his end:

“He will speak against THE MOST HIGH and oppress his saints and try to change the set times and the laws. The saints will be handed over to him for a time, times and half a time. But the court will sit, and his power will be taken away and completely destroyed forever.” (D a n i e l 7:25-27)

The king is said to oppress the saints of GOD for a period of time that most SCRIPTURAL scholars agree is three and a half years (a time, times and half a time). But eventually his dominion will be taken away, and replaced by THE KINGDOM of THE MOST HIGH.......GOD/DEITY.

Three hundred years later, in the Book of Revelation, Apostle John likewise describes “the Antichrist” and his “beast(ly)” empire in very similar terms:

“And I saw a beast coming out of the sea. He had ten horns and seven heads, with ten crowns on his horns, and on each head a blasphemous name. The beast I saw resembled a leopard, but had feet like those of a bear and a mouth like that of a lion. The dragon gave the beast his power and his throne and great authority…. Men worshiped the dragon because he had given authority to the beast, and they also worshiped the beast and asked, ‘Who is like the beast? Who can make war against him?’ The beast was given a mouth to utter proud words and blasphemies and to exercise his authority for forty-two months. He opened his mouth to blaspheme God, and to slander His name and His dwelling place and those who live in Heaven. He was given power to make war against the saints and to conquer them. And he was given authority over every tribe, people, language, and nation. All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast---all whose names have not been written in the Book of Life belonging to THE LAMB that was slain from the creation of the world.” (Revelation 13:2, 4-8)

(Please NOTE: The first beast of Revelation 13 and the beast of Revelation 17 are one and the same.)

While the symbolic language in the Revelation text is fairly thick, when one understands the SCRIPTURAL usage of particular symbolic terms, the picture is actually quite clear.

The “beast” again refers to “the Antichrist,” king over a ten-nation alliance or empire. The “horns” represent authority and power. Ten horns speak of an extremely high degree of authority as well as the number of nations and their kings that will unite to form the beast’s kingdom. The “dragon” who gives the beast his “authority” is Satan who is often spoken of in THE HOLY SCRIPTURES as the dragon or the serpent. The global impact of this beast-like empire is made clear by the phrase: “And he was given authority over every tribe, people, language, and nation.” We see the specific questions that the people of the earth ask, “Who is like the beast? Who can make war against him?” It appears to those on the earth that the beast is absolutely beyond challenge. And again, we see the same specific period of time that was given to the beast to persecute GOD’S people as forty-two months. (Forty-two months is three and a half years.) This same timeframe appears in the previously cited passage of D a n i e l 7:25.

Thus the prophecies in THE HOLY SCRIPTURES regarding “the Antichrist” is that he will be a political and military leader with power unparalleled by any other world leader throughout history.

As we have seen from the Islamic traditions and Muslim scholars, “the Mahdi,” like “the Antichrist,” is also prophesied to be a political and military world leader unparalleled by any other throughout world history.

While many powerful leaders have arisen throughout world history, the descriptions given concerning both “the Antichrist” and “the Mahdi” surpass any that have yet arisen. But “the Mahdi” and “the Antichrist” are both described as more than merely political and military leaders; they are both viewed as supreme religious leaders as well.

THE HOLY SCRIPTURES establish the fact that “the Antichrist” will be a spiritual leader whose authority will be acknowledged worldwide. After examining “the Antichrist’s” role as a universal religious leader, many Bible prophecy teachers have talked about the coming of the “One World Religion” or “the false church” which “the Antichrist” will both create and enforce upon the entire earth. This concept of a coming dominant and demonically inspired world religion stems partly from the frequent references to “worship” associated with “the Antichrist” throughout SCRIPTURE.

In the Book of Revelation we read that “the Antichrist” will both inspire and demand worship. This worship will be directed at both Satan, referred to as “the dragon,” and “the Antichrist,” referred to as “the beast”:

“Men worshiped the dragon because he had given authority to the beast, and they also worshiped the beast and asked, ‘Who is like the beast? Who can make war against him?’…. All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast---all whose names have not been written in the Book of Life belonging to THE LAMB that was slain from the creation of the world.” (Revelation 13:4, 8)

Beside the fact that “the Antichrist” establishes a worldwide worship movement, another reason he is viewed as a spiritual world leader is because THE HOLY SCRIPTURES describe a man referred to as “the False Prophet” who will assist “the Antichrist.” Of course the very title “False Prophet” assumes the religious nature of this man.

One of the primary roles of “the False Prophet” is to perform deceptive “signs and wonders” that will assist in persuading the inhabitants of the earth to “worship the Antichrist/Beast”:

“But the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who had performed the miraculous signs on his behalf.” (Revelation 19:20)

THE HOLY SCRIPTURES clearly teach that “the Antichrist” will lead a worldwide religious worship movement that will attempt to displace and usurp “worship” from THE ONE [TRUE] TRIUNE GOD of HIS word aka THE HOLY SCRIPTURES. “Worship” will then be directed toward both himself and to Satan---the invisible spirit---the provocateur and puppet master that motivates, empowers, and gives authority to “the Antichrist” to accomplish his worldwide task.

Likewise, it goes without saying, that “the Mahdi” of Islam will be the leader of a worldwide worship movement, a worship movement that will seek to cause anyone who practices any religion other than Islam to renounce his/her faith and “worship” Allah, the god of Islam.

As stated in an Islamic tradition (hadith) earlier in this post, “the Mahdi” “will govern the people by the Sunnah of their Prophet and establish Islam on Earth.” And “Islam will be victorious over all the religions.” Thus we see that “the Mahdi” leads a world revolution that will institute a “new world order” based on the religion of Islam. Both “the Antichrist” and “the Mahdi” are said to be the unqualified leaders of a global religious movement that will draw “worship” away from THE ONE [TRUE] TRIUNE GOD of HIS word aka THE HOLY SCRIPTURES. Inherent in the “worship” of Allah within the context of Islam is a direct denial of THE ONE [TRUE] TRIUNE GOD of THE HOLY SCRIPTURES. In fact, this is the reason that Muslims feel so strongly as to say that “the Mahdi” will “eradicate those pigs and dogs”---the CHRISTians and Jews who refuse to convert to Islam.

THE HOLY SCRIPTURES are clear that Satan, through “the Antichrist,” specifically targets first Jews and then CHRISTians for death. In the Book of Revelation, chapters twelve and thirteen, is another prophetic passage of SCRIPTURE rich with symbolic language. Initially it may be slightly difficult to understand, however, with the explanation of the symbols, it becomes clear:

“A great and wondrous sign appeared in Heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head.” (Revelation 12:1)

The “woman” symbolically pictured here is the family of GOD or nation of Israel. She is crowned with twelve stars. The twelve stars represent the twelve sons of Israel (Jacob) who became the twelve tribes that make up the family of GOD aka the nation of Israel (Genesis 35:23-26).

“She was pregnant and cried out in pain as she was about to give birth. Then another sign appeared in Heaven: an enormous red dragon with seven heads and ten horns and seven crowns on his heads. The dragon stood in front of the woman who was about to give birth, so that he might devour her child the moment it was born. She gave birth to a son, a male child, who will rule all the nations with an iron scepter. And her child was snatched up to GOD and to HIS throne.” (Revelation 12:2-5)

The woman---Israel---is pregnant and gives birth to a “male child, who will rule all the nations with an iron scepter.” This is a clear reference to JESUS, the Jewish/Judean MESSIAH (Psalm 2:9). The dragon here is identified in the same chapter (chapter 12) in verse 9 as “…that ancient serpent called the devil or Satan, who leads the whole world astray.” Satan desires to kill JESUS, but JESUS is “snatched up to GOD and to HIS throne.” This is a reference to JESUS’ ascension to Heaven after the Resurrection (Acts 1:8). Followed by:

“The great dragon was hurled down---that ancient serpent called the devil or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him…. He [the dragon] pursued the woman who had given birth to the male child…. The woman was given the two wings of a great eagle, so that she might fly to the place prepared for her in the desert, where she would be taken care of for a time, times and half a time, out of the serpent’s reach. Then the dragon was enraged at the woman and went off to make war against the rest of her offspring---those who obey GOD’S commandments and hold to the testimony of JESUS.” (Revelation 12:1-6, 9, 13, 14, 17).

So Satan is “enraged at the woman” (Israel) and “went off to make war against the rest of her offspring---those who obey GOD’S commandments and hold to the testimony of JESUS.” It doesn’t take a genius to understand that the rest of Israel’s “offspring” are those---CHRISTians who in deed (not only nominally/in name only) “obey GOD’S commandments and hold to the testimony of JESUS.” This passage makes specific reference to Satan targeting both Jews and CHRISTians. And we know that this passage speaks specifically of the end times because it mentions twice the three and a half year period (1260 days and “a time, times and half a time”) that “the Antichrist” will have authority to wage war against the saints:

“The beast was given a mouth to utter proud words and blasphemies and to exercise his authority for forty-two months. He opened his mouth to blaspheme GOD, and to slander HIS name and HIS dwelling place and those who live in Heaven. He was given power to make war against the saints and to conquer them. And he was given authority over every tribe, people, language, and nation.” (Revelation 13:5-7)

The prophet D a n i e l also saw that “the Antichrist” would have the authority to wage a successful war against “the saints.” Another term for “saints” is “holy ones” in some SCRIPTURE translations. It speaks primarily of the true followers of JESUS who know and serve THE ONE [TRUE] TRIUNE GOD.

“He will speak against THE MOST HIGH and oppress HIS saints and try to change the set times and the laws. The saints will be handed over to him for a time, times and half a time.” (D a n i e l 7:25)

Again here we see the reference to the three and a half year period that “the Antichrist” will persecute those who resist him. And from the Book of Revelation as well as from the prophet D a n i e l, we see that the two groups that most enrage Satan are the Jews and the CHRISTians.

THE HOLY SCRIPTURES teach that “the Antichrist,” with his multi-nation coalition, will attack Israel, and specifically Jerusalem, to conquer it (Zechariah 14:2; Ezekiel 38:9-12).

After this attack, “the Antichrist” will specifically set up his “throne” in “GOD’S temple.” The apostle Paul states this quite plainly:

“He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called GOD or is worshiped so that he sets himself up in GOD’S temple, proclaiming himself to be GOD.” (2 Thessalonians 2:4)

The location of the Jewish Temple has always been on Mount Moriah in Jerusalem. Today, the Temple that once stood on Mount Moriah does not exist; it was destroyed by the Roman emperor Titus in A.D. 70 according to JESUS’ prophetic words:

“JESUS left the temple and was walking away when HIS disciples came up to HIM to call HIS attention to its buildings. ‘Do you see all these things?’ HE asked. ‘I tell you the truth, not one stone here will be left on another; every one will be thrown down.’” (Matthew 24:1-2)

Today, Mount Moriah, sometimes known as the “Temple Mount” or in Arabic as “Haram Ash-Sharif,” is the location of two mosques and the third holiest site of Islam.

Likewise “the Mahdi” is to attack Jerusalem and re-conquer it for Islam in order to establish Islamic rule over the earth from Jerusalem:

"[Armies carrying] black flags will come from Khurasan [iran]. No power will be able to stop them and they will finally reach Eela [the Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem] where they will erect their flags.

Jerusalem will be the location of the rightly guided caliphate and the center of Islamic rule, which will be headed by Imam al-Mahdi."

The military campaign against Jerusalem and the establishment of the Islamic caliphate will not result in a benevolent rule over the Jews by “the Mahdi” as seen in the conclusion of the last quote above:

"…that will abolish the leadership of the Jews…and put an end to the domination of the Satans who spit evil into people and cause corruption in the earth."

After rising to power, and as a prelude to his invasion of Israel, “the Antichrist” is said to initiate a treaty with the nation of Israel for seven years:

 

“He will confirm a covenant with many for one “seven.” In the middle of the “seven” he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And on a wing of the temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him.” (D a n i e l 9:27)

 

In context, this passage shows that “the Antichrist” will establish a “covenant” with Israel for seven years, giving the Israelis a false sense of security.

 

The specific Hebrew word used in this verse translated as “seven” is “shabuwa.” It means a week, but also means either a “week of days or years.” In Hebrew thought, a seven-year period is similar to our decade. In the West years are measured through a decimal system based on increments of tens (decade), while days are measured in terms of seven (week). The Hebrews measured both days and years in increments of seven. The word translated as “seven” in D a n i e l 9:27 refers to seven years. This is the specific amount of time that “the Antichrist” will set for his peace treaty with Israel. Then, in the middle of the seven years, “the Antichrist” will renege on his treaty and stop the offerings and sacrifices in the Jewish Temple and will proclaim himself not only the ruler of the world, but GOD HIMSELF. Isaiah the prophet makes mention of this “covenant” and rebukes Israel for making it; he actually refers to it as a “covenant with death.” (Isaiah 28:14-15)

 

Again, “the Mahdi” is to initiate Islam’s fourth and final treaty between the “Romans” and the Muslims. (“Romans,” to the Muslim mindset, is interpreted as CHRISTians or the West in general – President Bush was addressed by Nicholas Berg’s executioners in their pre-execution statement as “You, O dog of the Romans.”) Interestingly enough this fourth treaty is to be made with a descendant of Moses’ brother, Aaron the Priest. Such a descendant would be a “cohen,” that is to say, a “priest.” Only “cohanim” among Jews can officiate the priestly duties of the Temple. This is important in light of the fact that many CHRISTian prophecy teachers and theologians have speculated that the treaty “the Antichrist” will initiate with Israel will include an agreement to allow the Jews to rebuild their Temple. Probably the most amazing aspect of this treaty that “the Mahdi” makes with this Jew of priestly lineage though, it its timeframe. The specific timeframe given for the treaty is exactly the same as “the Antichrist’s” peace treaty---seven years.

 

An Islamic hadith (tradition) states:

 

"The Prophet (Muhammad) said: There will be four peace agreements between you (Muslims) and the Romans. The fourth will be mediated through a person who will be from the progeny of Hadrat Aaron [Honorable Aaron – the brother of Moses] and will be upheld for seven years. The people asked, ‘O Prophet Muhammad, who will be the imam [leader] of the people at that time?’ The Prophet said: He will be from my progeny and will be exactly forty years of age. His face will shine like a star…."

 

Another of “the Antichrist’s” goals according to the Book of D a n i e l is to “change the set times and the laws”:

 

“He will speak against THE MOST HIGH and oppress HIS saints and try to change the set times and the laws. The saints will be handed over to him for a time, times and half a time.” (D a n i e l 7:25)

 

This is another insight into the person of “the Antichrist.” By his actions or “fruits” we see a hint of his origin. As the written word of GOD clearly states, he will desire to change two things --- times and laws.

 

We’ve already seen that “the Mahdi” will change the law by instituting Islamic or “shariah” law all over the earth but Islamic literature is silent regarding his changing the “times.” The simple question, however, is, who else other than a Muslim would desire to change “the times and laws?” Besides the Gregorian calendar used by the West, there is a Jewish, Hindu, and a Muslim calendar, among others. Jews and Hindus do not desire to impose their religious laws or calendars onto the rest of the world. Islam, however, does have both its own laws and its own calendar, both of which it would desire to impose onto the entire world.

 

The Islamic calendar is mandatory for all Muslims to observe. The Islamic position regarding the Islamic “hijra” calendar is as follows:

 

"It is considered a divine command to use a [hijra] calendar with twelve [purely] lunar months without intercalation, as evident from…the Holy Qur’an."

 

Not only does Islam view as a divine imperative the use of a unique religious calendar, it also has its own “week.” Unlike the Western format of a week --- Monday through Friday being the body of the workweek followed by Saturday and Sunday as the weekend, with Judaism and CHRISTianity using these two days for their respective days of worship, Friday is Islam’s sacred day of prayer. This is the day that Muslims meet at the mosque to pray and listen to a sermon.

 

As we look at the full picture, only Islam (at this point in time) fits the bill of a system that has its own unique calendar, a week based on its own religious history, and a clear system of law that it wishes to impose onto the entire earth. Surely if a Muslim emerges as powerful as “the Mahdi,” doubtless he will attempt to institute Islamic law worldwide---and the Islamic calendar and week as well.

 

The final similarity between “the Antichrist” and “the Mahdi” is the fact that both “the Antichrist” and “the Mahdi” are identified with a SCRIPTURAL passage that describes “a rider on a white horse.” (Revelation 6:1-2)

 

While this could be literal (riding a white horse) more than likely it is a symbolic picture of these two persons. Amazingly, the origin of the SCRIPTURAL tradition of “the Antichrist” on a white horse and the origin of the Islamic tradition of “the Mahdi” on a white horse come from the same passage in THE HOLY SCRIPTURES.

 

In the sixth chapter of the Book of Revelation, the Apostle John describes his vision of the release of events that mark the beginning of the end times. The scene is of JESUS holding a scroll --- on the outside of the scroll are seven seals. The breaking of each seal releases a specific and distinct end-time event:

 

“I watched as THE LAMB [JESUS] opened the first of the seven seals. Then I heard one of the four living creates say in a voice like thunder, ‘Come!’ I looked, and there before me was a white horse! Its rider held a bow, and he was given a crown, and he rose out as a conqueror bent on conquest.” (Revelation 6:1-2)

 

The seals that follow this rider are:

 

1) Peace is taken from the earth.

2) Famine.

3) Plagues and death.

4) Persecution and martyrdom of GOD’S people.

5) A great earthquake.

6) The wrath of GOD.

 

After the rider appears on the scene, essentially the world freefalls into the chaos that defines the last hour. The interpretation that many Bible scholars apply to this passage is: the white horse is an “imitation” of the white horse that JESUS will ride when HE returns (Revelation 19:11). The bow without arrows which the rider carries represents a “false peace.” The rider carries with his ride to power a false promise of peace. This is in alignment with the false peace treaty that “the Antichrist” makes with Israel at the start of the seven year period of his rule. The crown on his head obviously refers to his position of authority and leadership. And we see that the true motivation and bent of the rider is to “conquer.”

 

In light of the identity of the rider then, we are not surprised to find that the events that follow his emergence onto the world stage do not bring an age of peace but rather an age of apocalyptic chaos. Apparently this is not a problem for Islamic scholars who are notorious for using an arbitrary “pick and choose” approach to THE HOLY SCRIPTURES for in seeing “the Antichrist” on the white horse with a crown and conquering, Muslim scholars see a clear picture of “the Mahdi.”

 

Quoting a Muslim transmitter of hadiths:

 

"I find the Mahdi recorded in the books of the Prophets… For instance, the Book of Revelation says: ‘And I saw and behold a white horse. He that sat on him…went forth conquering and to conquer."

 

In conclusion, we see that several of the most unique and distinguishing aspects of “the Antichrist” described in THE HOLY SCRIPTURES, e.g., person, mission, and actions, are matched to an amazing degree by the descriptions of “the Mahdi” as found in the Islamic traditions. Furthermore, we see that Muslim scholars actually apply SCRIPTURAL passages about “the Antichrist” to their “Awaited Savior,” “the Mahdi.” At the least this must be seen as quite ironic if not entirely prophetic.

After the emergence or the “rising” of “the Mahdi,” the second most important event among the “Major Signs” for Muslims, is the return of Jesus Christ. Understandably, CHRISTians who love THE LORD JESUS get excited by the prospect that Muslims look for and long for HIS return. Unfortunately for them, the Islamic belief of just who this Jesus is that is returning, and what He does once He has arrived, differs drastically from CHRISTians’ belief with respect to JESUS.

As mentioned in the above list regarding Islamic belief, Muslims reject the truth that JESUS was or is THE SON OF GOD. According to Islam, JESUS is not as THE HOLY SCRIPTURES articulate---GOD manifest in the flesh. They view this CHRISTian belief as polytheism.

Another Islamic belief is that JESUS never died on a cross for the sins of mankind. The Qur’an specifically denies that JESUS was ever crucified or that HE ever experienced death. Muslims believe that after Allah miraculously delivered JESUS from death HE ascended into Heaven alive in a similar fashion to the SCRIPTURAL narrative regarding Elijah. Since then, Muslims believe that JESUS has remained with Allah, awaiting HIS opportunity to return to the earth to finish HIS ministry and complete HIS life. As such, to the Islamic mind, JESUS was not in any way a “savior.” To Muslims, JESUS was merely another prophet in the long line of prophets that Allah has sent to mankind.

The title of “Messiah,” although retained in the Islamic tradition, is essentially stripped of any truly SCRIPTURALLY defined messianic characteristics. According to the sacred texts of Islam, when JESUS returns, it most certainly will not be to save and deliver HIS faithful followers from the ongoing persecution of “the Antichrist.” In order to understand the Islamic concept of JESUS’ return, the first thing that needs to be realized is that to the Muslim mind, when JESUS returns, HE comes back as a radical Muslim.

Many of the Islamic hadiths that refer to JESUS do not call HIM by the name of JESUS but rather “Isa.” Muslims will occasionally refer to JESUS by HIS English name (JESUS CHRIST) for Westerners’ sake but the name that the Qur’an gives HIM, and which most Muslims use, is “Isa (or “Eesa”) al-Maseeh” (the Messiah). Other common titles that Islam uses when referring to JESUS are “Hadrat Isa” (Honorable Jesus), “Isa bin Maryam” (Jesus son of Mary), or “Nabi Isa” (Prophet Jesus).

According to Islam’s sacred traditions, Jesus’ return is to take place just outside Damascus:

"At this very time Allah would send Christ, son of Mary, and he will descend at the white minaret in the eastern side of Damascus wearing two garments lightly dyed with saffron and placing his hands on the wings of two angels. When he would lower his head, there would fall beads of perspiration from his head, and when he would raise it up, beads like pearls would scatter from it."

At this time, Jesus descends to meet the army of “the Mahdi,” which will be preparing for battle. It will be just before the time of prayer:

"Muslims will still be preparing themselves for the battle drawing up the ranks. Certainly, the time of prayer shall come and then Jesus, son of Mary would descend."

Islamic scholars seem to be in universal agreement that “the Mahdi” will ask Jesus to lead the prayers. Jesus will then refuse this request and defer instead to “the Mahdi” to lead the prayer:

"The Messenger of Allah (Muhammad) said: A section of my people will not cease fighting for the truth and will prevail until the day of resurrection. He said: Jesus son of Mary would then descend and their [Muslims’] commander [the Mahdi] would invite him [Jesus] to come and lead them in prayer, but he would say: No, some amongst you are commanders over some."

The important element to stress here is that Jesus will then pray BEHIND “the Mahdi” as a direct statement regarding Jesus’ inferiority of rank to “the Mahdi”:

"Jesus Christ will decline the offer and invitation of Imam Mahdi to come and lead the Muslims in prayer, and say his prayer behind Imam Mahdi."

"Jesus (peace be upon him) will come and will perform the obligatory prayer behind the Mahdi and follow him."

"[Jesus] will be following the Mahdi, the master of the time, and that is why he will be offering his prayers behind him."

After Jesus returns, in keeping with His identity as a faithful Muslim, He will perform the ritual pilgrimage to Mecca called “hajj”:

"The Prophet (Muhammad) said: ‘Verily Isa bin Maryam shall descend as an equitable judge and fair ruler. He shall tread his path on the way to hajj [pilgrimage] and come to my grave [Muhammad’s grave] to greet me [Muhammad], and I shall certainly answer him!’"

While “the Mahdi,” as the “caliph” (vice regent) and “imam” (leader) of the Muslims is clearly superior to Jesus in Islam, Jesus remains a leader of the Muslim community. According to Islamic traditions, Jesus’ primary purpose will be to oversee the institution and the enforcement of Islamic “shariah” (Islamic) law all over the world:

“Bin Qayyim mentioned in Manar al-munif that the leader…is the Mahdi who will request Jesus to lead the Muslims in prayer. Jesus will remain on the earth, not as a prophet, but as one of the community (ummah) of Prophet Muhammad. Muslims will follow him as their leader. According to Shalabi, the Mahdi will lead the Muslims in prayer, and Jesus will rule the Muslims according to the divine law (shariah).”

"Jesus, the son of Mary will descend and will lead them judging amongst them according to the holy Qur’an and the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad."

Islamic tradition teaches that because Jesus will declare Himself to be a Muslim, He will lead many CHRISTians to convert to Islam. For those who do not convert to Islam, the Qur’an states that Jesus will be a witness against them on the Day of Judgment:

"There is not one of the People of the Scripture [Christians and Jews] but will believe in him before his death, and on the Day of Resurrection he will be a witness against them (Surah 4:159)."

Commenting on the above verse, two Muslim authors, Mufti Muhammad Shafi and Mufti Mohammad Rafi Usmani in their book titled, Signs of the Qiyama [the final judgment] and the Arrival of the Maseeh [the Messiah], explain that the phrase “…will believe in him before his death” means that CHRISTians and Jews will:

"…confirm that he [Jesus] is alive and has not died [crucified] and he is not God or the Son of God but [merely] His [Allah’s] slave and Messenger, and Isa [Jesus] will testify against those who had called him son of God, the Christians, and those who had belief him, the Jews."

The chairman of the Islamic Supreme Council of America clearly articulates the Islamic perspective regarding Jesus’ evangelistic role when He returns:

"Like all prophets, Prophet Jesus came with the divine message of surrender to God Almighty, which is Islam. This verse shows that when Jesus returns he will personally correct the misrepresentations and misinterpretations about himself. He will affirm the true message that he brought in his time as a prophet, and that he never claimed to be the Son of God. Furthermore, he will reaffirm in his second coming what he prophesied in his first coming bearing witness to the seal of the Messenger, Prophet Muhammad. In his second coming many non-Muslims will accept Jesus as a servant of Allah Almighty, as a Muslim and a member of the community of Muhammad."

Muslim scholars likewise articulate this same expectation:

"Jesus will descend from Heaven and espouse the cause of the Mahdi. The Christians and the Jews will see him and recognize his true status. The Christians will abandon their faith in his godhead."

It is crucial to understand that according to Islamic tradition and belief, when Jesus returns, He does not come to convert most CHRISTians to Islam but to abolish CHRISTianity entirely. This fact is understood when a very well known and often quoted Islamic tradition that refers to four specific things Jesus will do when He returns, is analyzed. Jesus is to:

1) Break crosses.
2) Kill all swine.
3) Abolish the “jizyah” tax (a Muslim tax on non-Muslims).
4) Kill the Muslim antichrist and his followers.

"The Prophet (Muhammad) said: There is no prophet between me and him, that is, Jesus. He will descent [sic] (to the earth)… He will break the cross, kill swine, and abolish jizyah. Allah will perish all religions except Islam."

The three actions of breaking the cross, killing pigs, and abolishing the “jizyah” tax are based on the notion that Jesus will eliminate all other religions on the earth other than Islam. Muslims’ understanding of the Islamic tradition of Jesus’ “breaking the crosses” is that by doing so Jesus will be making a clear statement regarding His disapproval of the false notion that He was ever crucified on a cross. The “killing of the swine” is so that the “Christian belief of its Muslim Jesus’ primary jobs is to kill a figure known as “the Dajjal,” or the Muslim version of “the Antichrist.” Jesus will kill not only “the Dajjal” but also all of “the Dajjal’s” followers, most of whom will be Jews:

"The Yahudis [Jews] of Isfahaan will be his [the Dajjal’s] main followers. Apart from have mainly Yahudi followers, he will have a great number of women followers as well."

Muslims believe that one of the main reasons for Jesus’ return is “to refute the Jews over the controversial issue that they killed Jesus…. However Jesus will kill them including their leader, the Antichrist.”

The sequence of the events of the last days according to this Islamic tradition as they occur, begins with:

"His [Muslim Antichrist] followers the Yahudis [Jews], will number seventy thousand…. [Then] Hadrat Isa [honorable Jesus] kills the Dajjal at the Gate of Hudd, near an Israeli airport, in the valley of “Ifiq.” The final war between the Yahudis will ensue, and the Muslims will be victorious."

The important thing to remember regarding this “final war” between the Jews and the Muslims is that when it occurs, according to Islamic tradition, Jesus is the primary instigator.

One final aspect of “the Muslim Jesus’” return --- after converting the world to Islam and killing unbelievers [in Islam], the Dajjal and his followers, Jesus is to marry, have children, and eventually die:

"The Prophet (Muhammad) said: There is no prophet between me and him, that is, Jesus…. He [Jesus] will destroy the Antichrist [the Dajjal] and will live on the earth for forty years and then he [Jesus] will die. The Muslims will pray over him [Jesus]."

"After his descention [sic] on earth, Jesus will marry. He will have children, and he will remain on the earth nineteen years after marriage. He will pass away and Muslims will perform his funeral prayer and bury him next to the Prophet Muhammad."

Now let’s review the various defining characteristics and actions of “the Muslim Jesus” upon His return to the earth:

1) Jesus is said to return to the earth in the last days near a mosque in Damascus.
2) He will arrive at a time when “the Mahdi” and his army will be preparing to pray.
3) He will be offered to lead the prayer by “the Mahdi,” but will decline in direct deference to “the Mahdi” whom Jesus declares to be the leader of the Muslims.
4) He will then pray behind “the Mahdi” as a subordinate.
5) He will be a faithful Muslim.
6) He will make a pilgrimage to Mecca.
7) He will visit Muhammad’s grave and salute Muhammad, whereby Muhammad will return the salute from the grave.
8) He will destroy CHRISTianity.
9) He will repeal the “jizyah” tax, thus leaving Jews and CHRISTians only the options of conversion to Islam or death.
10) He will establish Islamic [shariah] law throughout the entire earth.
11) He will kill the [Muslim] Antichrist [the Dajjal] and his followers made up largely of Jews and women.
12) He will remain on the earth for roughly forty years, during which time He will marry, have children, and then die.

As can be seen, clearly “the Muslim Jesus,” in both His nature and actions is faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar removed from THE LORD JESUS CHRIST of THE HOLY SCRIPTURES. Rather than coming to reign as KING and MESSIAH over all the earth from Jerusalem, “the Muslim Jesus” instead comes to convert the world to Islam or kill those who refuse to do so. Instead of coming to save and deliver faithful CHRISTians and Jews, He comes instead to slaughter them.

Amazingly, the similarities between the SCRIPTURAL narratives of the end times and the Islamic narratives do not end with “the Antichrist” and “the Mahdi.” If it were so, then it might be easier to dismiss the many similarities as mere coincidence. The parallels, however, do not stop with “the Antichrist” and “the Mahdi,” but extend again quite clearly into the person THE HOLY SCRIPTURES describe as “the False Prophet” and the person known in Islam as “Isa al-Masih”---Jesus the Messiah.

THE HOLY SCRIPTURES clearly articulates the specific plan of Satan throughout the ages --- to lure men away from the worship of THE ONE [TRUE] TRIUNE GOD, and his use of two persons to do so in the end times.

“Our (new Israel jumper/leaper) homes will be constructed, in effect, from the wood of fruit trees and with stones of hewn marble; and together with this, will be all the kings of the ethnical Mohammedans essentially, whom will remain to live with us upon the blessed earth for a thousand years.” (mgr - book 6, article 21, verse 14)

“During that time (the thousand years) actually, in our presence, no false-christians, pig eaters, nor worshippers of the abominable will remain anywhere, not even one, throughout the whole of our promised land with the exception of the loyal Mohammedans. “Whereby, all this brilliance of our new city will radiate the mark of sanctimony; and at the same time, to all the Mohammedan kings and all their people, whom in all places will remain to dwell within all our new promised land.” (mgr - book 6, article 23, verse 5)

“And whom Thou Lord, will place all of us in like status as leaders and masters in complete unison over all the races that surround us; essentially those who during that time (the thousand years) will remain to dwell with us upon our earth, in this case---the twelve Mohammedan sovereigns.” (mgr - book 7, article 9, verse 20)

The nature of the relationship of the SCRIPTURAL “False Prophet” to “the Antichrist” is one of a “partner in crime” so to speak. It is in the final book of THE HOLY SCRIPTURES that we learn about “the False Prophet.” The apostle John was the first and only author of SCRIPTURE who received revelation about this assistant to “the Antichrist.”

In Revelation chapter thirteen, Apostle John introduces the man described as “another beast” but spoken of later in Revelation as “the False Prophet”:

“Then I saw another beast, coming out of the earth. He had two horns like a lamb, but he spoke like a dragon. He exercised all the authority of the first beast on his behalf, and made the earth and its inhabitants worship the first beast…. And he performed great and miraculous signs, even causing fire to come down from Heaven to earth in full view of men. Because of the signs he was given power to do on behalf of the first beast, he deceived the inhabitants of the earth.” (Revelation 13:11-14)

A few things can be determined about “the False Prophet” from this passage. First, he is called a “beast”---he is, like “the Antichrist,” a man possessed by Satan. He is another human pawn of the dragon, exercising the will of the dragon on the earth. But instead of ten horns, he only has two. The horns speak of authority. The power and authority of “the False Prophet” is clear, but not nearly equal to that of “the Antichrist,” who has ten horns. “The False Prophet” can perform miracles, and among the many miracles he works, one is mentioned specifically: He makes fire come down from the sky. “The False Prophet’s” primary reason for performing miraculous signs is to cause the inhabitants of the earth to follow and worship “the Antichrist.” The two are pictured in tandem, as a team, a partnership with one common goal---deception, seduction, and luring away of anyone who worship YHWH/JEHOVAH, THE GOD of HIS word aka THE HOLY SCRIPTURES.

Likewise, in the Islamic narrative of the end times (or last days), there is not a lone character coming to rescue the world, but instead there is a team---both “the Mahdi” and “the Muslim Jesus.” And as in the case of “the Antichrist” and “the False Prophet,” in Islam’s narrative, one party clearly fills a “supporting” role while the other party “leads.”

While “the Mahdi” is described as “the vice-regent (caliph) of Allah,” Jesus is described as one who will “espouse the cause of the Mahdi” and “follow him.” The partnership between “the Mahdi” and “the Muslim Jesus” is one of a “leader” and his “subordinate.” And as we have already seen, and will continue to see, the partnership of “the Mahdi” and “the Muslim Jesus” is in deed (pun intended) an unholy alliance---particularly if you are not a Muslim and have no intention of becoming one. And if this is the case, then you are marked for death --- plain and simple.

“The Muslim Jesus” is a twisted perversion of the Biblical JESUS WHO said:

“’For I have come down from Heaven not to do MY will but to do the will of HIM WHO sent ME. And this is the will of HIM WHO sent ME; that I shall lose none of all that HE has given ME, but raise them up at the last day. For MY FATHER’S will is that everyone who looks to THE SON and believes in HIM shall have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.’” (John 6:38-40)

Instead of espousing the “cause” (or “will”) of THE FATHER, “the Muslim Jesus” espouses the cause (or will) of “the Mahdi.” Instead of saving those followers of HIS whom THE FATHER has placed in HIS care, “the Muslim Jesus” instead slaughters those who remain faithful to the words of JESUS of Nazareth as found in THE HOLY SCRIPTURES. “The Muslim Jesus” is not the tender yet strong SHEPHERD of the Gospels, but rather “the Wolf” himself in the shepherd’s clothing.

We read in THE HOLY SCRIPTURES that “the False Prophet” is “the Antichrist’s” chief enforcer:

“The coming of the lawless one [the Antichrist] will be in accordance with the work of Satan displayed in all kings of counterfeit miracles, signs, and wonders, and in every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. For this reason GOD sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.” (2 Thessalonians 2:9-12)

“Then I saw another beast, coming out of the earth… He performed great and miraculous signs, even causing fire to come down from Heaven to earth in full view of men.” (Revelation 13:11, 13a)

So SCRIPTURALLY speaking, “the False Prophet” enforces “the Antichrist’s” global worship movement. Imagine for a moment a miracle-working evangelist completely possessed by Satan and who refuses to take no for an answer at the threat of death. This is exactly what “the False Prophet” will be.

Islam’s [false] “Muslim Jesus” will likewise be the greatest evangelist that the world has ever seen. He fulfills the description of “the False Prophet” in this regard to a “T”! The false “Muslim Jesus,” like “the False Prophet,” comes to convert the Christian world to a new religion. In the case of “the Muslim Jesus,” the religion is, of course Islam:

"When Jesus returns he will personally correct the misrepresentations and misinterpretations about himself. He will affirm the true message that he brought in his time as a prophet, and that he never claimed to be the Son of God. Furthermore, he will reaffirm in his second coming what he prophesied in his first coming bearing witness to the seal of the Messengers, Prophet Muhammad. Just like “the False Prophet,” “the Muslim Jesus” refuses to take no for an answer. Along with “the Mahdi,” the false “Muslim Jesus” institutes Islamic law all over the earth. In so doing, He abolishes the “jizyah” tax, which non-Muslims historically have had the option of paying as “protection” money, much like the “protection” money that “Mafia” bosses enforce onto businesses in their areas. After the “jizyah” tax is abolished, “all people will be required to embrace Islam and there will be no other alternative.” But what if some still refuse to convert? Then, as we have already seen, the leaders of the so-called “religion of peace,” “the Mahdi” and “the Muslim Jesus,” will execute them.

From THE HOLY SCRIPTURES’ description of “the False Prophet” we learn that one of the primary motives behind his plan in creating the “image in honor of the beast” is to kill those who refuse to worship it:

“He ordered them to set up an image in honor of the beast who was wounded by the sword and yet lived. He was given power to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that it could speak and cause all who refused to worship the image to be killed.” (Revelation 13:14b-15)

Later there is a specific reference to the exact form in which these people will die:

“And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony for JESUS and because of the word of GOD. They had not worshiped the beast or his image and had not received his mark on their foreheads or their hands.” (Revelation 20:4)

And how different is “the Muslim Jesus”? We have already examined the Islamic traditions (hadiths) that establish that “the Muslim Jesus” will abolish the “jizyah” tax, thus leaving only two options for CHRISTians and Jews worldwide --- convert to Islam or die:

"Jesus, the son of Mary, will soon descend among the Muslims as a just judge…. Jesus will, therefore, judge according to the law of Islam…all people will be required to embrace Islam and there will be no other alternative.

The time and the place for [the poll tax] is before the final descent of Jesus. After his final coming, nothing but Islam wil be accepted from them, for taking the poll tax is only effective until Jesus’ descent."

We have also seen the Islamic traditions (hadiths) that portray “the Muslim Jesus” as the leader of an army that slaughters tens of thousands of Jews said to follow “the Dajjal” (the Muslim Antichrist):

"The Yahudis [Jews]…will be his main followers.

Isa [Jesus] kills the Dajjal at the Gate of Hudd, near an Israeli airport, in the valley of “Ifiq.” The final war between the Yahudis will ensue, and the Muslims will be victorious.

In the Last Hour Muslims will fight with Jews. Since the Jews are an integral part of the army of the Dajjal, and Muslims are the solders of the Prophet Jesus, they will fight each other and the Muslims will become triumphant until even a stone or a tree would say: ‘Come here, Muslim, there is a Jew hiding behind me; kill him.’"

The SCRIPTURAL “False Prophet” and “the Muslim Jesus” are both described as establishing a system of law that will enforce the mass execution of everyone who refuses to convert to the new global religion.

No doubt, if not all, the majority of people have heard the expression “a wolf in sheep’s clothing.” JESUS of Nazareth coined this expression when HE spoke specifically regarding false prophets:

“Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves” (Matthew 7:15).

Likewise the apostle John describes “the” False Prophet, whom all other false prophets merly foreshadow, as one who, “had two horns like a lamb, but he spoke like a dragon” (Revelation 13:11).

This is to say that “the False Prophet” will appear to be mild and gentle---a “lamb-like” person---but inwardly he will be possessed by Satan himself. He will be filled with deception, murder, rage, and hatred. His purpose will be to deceive as many people as he can into worshipping the dragon.

The appearance of “the False Prophet” as “a lamb” may also quite possibly and plausibly refer to the notion that “the False Prophet” will claim to be THE LAMB, JESUS CHRIST (John 1:36; Revelation 5:6, 13). This makes sense when we look a bit more closely at JESUS’ warning to HIS disciples in Matthew chapter twenty-four. Repeatedly, JESUS warns HIS disciples of the many false prophets who will come in the last days, but in the very first warning that JESUS gives HIS disciples when they ask HIM about the nature of the final hour before HIS return, JESUS says, “Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in MY name, claiming, ‘I am THE CHRIST,’ and will deceive many” (Matthew 24:4-5).

While not necessarily every false prophet that will emerge in the last days will claim to be JESUS CHRIST HIMSELF, it is clear form this passage that some will. And if “the” False Prophet of Revelation 13 is the archetype and model for all other false prophets, then it also stands to reason that “the False Prophet” may very well claim to be JESUS CHRIST HIMSELF. This of course, is a perfectly brilliant (though infinitely evil) plan. Who else better could one imagine to have as one’s back-up man and one’s minister of propaganda than someone whom much of the world believes to be JESUS CHRIST HIMSELF? And this is what it appears Satan has planned for “the Antichrist/Mahdi.”

Muslims are very fond of using JESUS as an evangelistic tool among CHRISTians. Numerous Muslim books extol the greatness of JESUS and express a deep love for HIM. One Muslim web site even proclaims that “Jesus led me to Islam.” Muslims use JESUS as a lure to draw CHRISTians in, in order to convince them of the truth of Islam. But the “advertised” Jesus of Islam differs greatly from “the Muslim Jesus” who comes to reveal his true identity as the most radical of fundamentalist Muslims. The “Jesus” that returns in Muslim tradition makes Osama Bin Laden look like a novice. He is portrayed as coming to establish Islamic law across the face of the planet that would legalize the execution of anyone who refuses to convert to Islam. He is portrayed as leading the army that will slaughter tens of thousands of Jews said to follow “the Dajjal” (“the Antichrist” in Muslim tradition). If ever such a person existed that could rightly be described as a “beast,” then surely, “the Muslim Jesus” is such a man.

Muslims await a man who will claim to be Jesus Christ. He would be presented as a lamb. If such a man exists, he will claim, according to Islamic tradition, that he has been alive in heaven for the past two thousand or so years, waiting to return to complete his life and accomplish his mission on the earth. Such a man would be---a liar---a true student of his master, the father of lies. He would come to fulfill what THE HOLY SCRIPTURES express to be the chief boiling desires of Satan: to either deceive CHRISTians and Jews---indeed the entire earth---into worshipping him, or to slaughter them. In THE HOLY SCRIPTURES, we see that it is for these very purposes that Satan will empower his “False Prophet.” The SCRIPTURAL description of “the False Prophet” and the Islamic description of “the Muslim Jesus”, on all essential points, are identical.

The third primary character that dominates Islamic eschatology is a man whose full title is “Al-Maseeh (the Messiah) Ad-Dajjal (the Liar/Deceiver).” Numerous “hadiths” (Islamic traditions) contain descriptions of “the Dajjal.” He is described as a deceiver who will have miraculous powers and who will temporarily hold power over the whole earth:

"The Prophet (Muhammad) was warning us that in the last days there would be someone who would deceive all of humanity. The Dajjal will possess power over this world. Thus, Muslims must be careful not to have the love of the world in their hearts so they won’t leave their religion and follow him. He will be able to heal the sickby wiping his hand on them, like Jesus did, but with this deceit the Dajjal will lead people down the path to hell. Thus the Dajjal is the false Messiah, or Anti-Christ [Massih ad-Dajjal]. He will pretend to be the Messiah, and deceive people by showing them amazing powers."

Possibly the most frequently quoted reference to “the Dajjal” is that he is blind in one eye. The Islamic traditions (hadiths), however, are contradictory regarding which eye is blind:

"Allah’s Messenger (Muhammad) made a mention of Dajjal in the presence of the people and said: Allah is not one-eyes and behold that Dajjal is blind of the right eye and his eye would be like a floating grape."

"Allah’s Messenger (Muhammad) said: Dajjal is blind of left eye with thick hair an there would be a garden and fire with him and his fire would be a garden and his garden would be fire."

“The Dajjal” is sometimes said to have the word “infidel” (kaafir) written between his eyes, possibly on his forehead, but this word will be perceptible only to true Muslims and no one else:

"Allah’s Messenger (Muhammad) said: Dajjal is blind of one eye and there is written between his eyes the word “kaafir” (unbeliever/infidel). He then spelled the word as k.f.r., which every Muslim will be able to read."

"Very important is that this word “kaafir” will be readable only by the believer, literate or illiterate. Non-believer: let him be educated from “Oxford” or “Harvard” will not be able to read it."

One Islamic scholar describes the “miraculous powers” of “the Dajjal”:

"The Dajjal will have powers of the devil. He will terrorize the Muslims into following him, converting them into unbelief. He will conceal the truth and bring forth falsehood. The prophet (Muhammad) said that the Dajjal will have the power to show the image of one’s dead ancestors on his hand, like a television screen. The relative will say, “Oh my son! This man is correct. I am in Paradise because I was good and I believe in him.” In reality that relative is in hell. If the relative says, “Believe in this man, I am in hell because I didn’t believe,” one must say to the Dajjal, “No, he is in Paradise. This is false.”

The Prophet (Muhammad) said: the Dajjal will say to a Bedouin Arab, 'What will you think if I bring your father and mother back to life for you? Will you bear witness that I am your lord?' The Bedouin will say, 'Yes.' So two devils will assume the appearance of his father and mother, and say, “O my son, follow him for he is your lord…'"

The above “hadith” (Islamic tradition) shows that “the Dajjal’s” deceptive signs will lead people into believing that “the Dajjal” is actually their “lord.” Muslim scholars universally have concluded that “the Dajjal” will claim to be “divine.” In other words, he “will claim to be GOD.”

While there are no specific traditions (hadiths) that state such directly, as a result of the fact that “the Dajjal” is, according to Islamic tradition, the false “Jewish Messiah” who claims to be GOD, most Muslims have deduced that “the Dajjal” will thus claim to be JESUS CHRIST by name.

One Muslim scholar says of “the Dajjal”:

"He will travel at great speeds and his means of conveyance will be a giant mule…. He will travel the entire world."

As odd as this seems, it also bears a faint resemblance to JESUS of Nazareth WHO also rode a donkey as HE entered Jerusalem during the final week of HIS ministry.

According to Islamic traditions (hadiths), “the Dajjal” may not enter into three cities: Mecca, Medina, and Damascus. Muslims are encouraged to seek refuge from “the Dajjal” in one of these three cities:

"The Prophet (Muhammad) said: “Ad-Dajjal will come to Medine and find the angels guarding it. So Allah willing, neither Ad-Dajjal nor plague will be able to come near it.”

The coming of the Antichrist [Dajjal] must occur in the Last Days. This dreadful event is approaching, and in that time only three cities will be safe: Makka [Mecca], Madina [Medina], and Sham [Damascus]. If anyone wants safety in that time he will have to run to one of these three cities."

Apart from these three cities, the Islamic traditions (hadiths) teach that “the Dajjal” will enter every single city, town, and village in the world to test and possibly deceive every human alive.

Muslims believe that if they memorize a particular portion of the Qur’an that they will be protected from “the Dajjal.” It is somewhat like a verbal amulet that protects one from the powers of evil:

"If the Dajjal comes upon someone who has memorized the first ten verses of Surat al-Kalif [Chapter of the Cow] he cannot harm him. And whoever memorizes the last verses of Surat al-Kalif will have light on the day of Judgement."

Based on various hadiths (Islamic traditions), Muslims believe that “the Dajjal” will be Jewish. This view has been articulated in a book titled Emergence of the Dajjal, the Jewish King by a Muslim author as well as an “imam” (leader) of the Palestinian Authority quoted as follows:

"The Jews await the false Jewish messiah, while we await with Allah’s help…the Mahdi and Jesus, peace be upon him. Jesus’ pure hands will murder the false Jewish messiah. Where? In the city of Lod, in Palestine. Palestine will be, as it was in the past, a graveyard for the invaders."

As previously stated, “the Muslim Jesus” will kill “the Dajjal” and his followers:

"Allah’s Messenger (Muhammad) said: …the time of prayer shall come and then Jesus son of Mary would descend and would lead them in prayer. When the enemy of Allah (Dajjal) would see him…Allah would kill them by his (Jesus’) hand and he would show them their blood on his lance (the lance of Jesus Christ)."

The third amazing parallel between SCRIPTURAL eschatology and Islamic eschatology is the person of “the Dajjal,” the Islamic “Antichrist” figure. Despite all of the wild and fantastic descriptions of “the Dajjal,” when the Muslim belief regarding “the Dajjal” is pared down to its simplest and most important terms, basically, it is a man who will claim to be divine and to be JESUS CHRIST, the Jewish Messiah. He will defend Israel against “the Mahdi” and “the Muslim Jesus” and he will deceive many people into leaving Islam.

While CHRISTians do not believe there will ever come a person into the world as described in the Islamic traditions, i.e., a great deceiver, blind in one eye, flying around the earth on some form of giant mule, they do believe JESUS (the real ONE), WHO will, in many very crucial ways, fulfill the Muslim expectations of “the Dajjal.”

The real JESUS, however, will indeed come as a divine defender of Jews and CHRISTians. If the Islamic prophecies are indeed intertwined with the unfolding of SCRIPTURAL prophecy, it become obvious that part of Satan’s strategry is that, when the real JESUS returns, there will already be a worldwide religious leader claiming to be JESUS, namely “the False Prophet.” This being the case, Muslims worldwide would accuse the real JESUS of being “the Dajjal,” the Muslim Antichrist/Great Deceiver. Muslims would be particularly convinced of this becaue the surviving Jews on the earth will acknowledge JESUS as their MESSIAH.

At least six hundred years before Islam ever existed, the Jewish prophets and apostles described the event of JESUS returning to Israel, defeating her enemies, and finally gaining full acceptance among the Jewish people:

“On that day I [THE LORD] will set out to destroy al the nations that attack Jerusalem. And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication. They will look on ME, THE ONE they have pierced, and they will mourn for HIM as one mourns for an only child, and grieve bitterly for HIM as one grives for a firstborn son.” (Zechariah 12:10)

“A day of THE LORD is coming…THE LORD will go out and fight against those nations, as he fights in the day of battle. On that day HIS feet will stand on the Mount of Olives.” (Zechariah 14:1, 3-4)

“And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written: ‘THE DELIVERER will come from Zion; HE will turn godlessness away from Jacob.’” (Romans 11:26)

“Put a seal on the foreheads of the servants of our GOD… Then I head the number of those who were sealed: 144,000 from all the tribes of Israel… Then I looked, and there before me was THE LAMB [JESUS THE MESSIAH], standing on Mount Zion, and with HIM 144,000 who had HIS name and HIS FATHER’S name written on their foreheads… And they sang a new song.” (Revelation 7:3-4; 14:1, 3)

We see that when the real JESUS returns “to destroy all the nations that attack Jerusalem”… “HIS feet will stand on the Mount of Olives.” At this time, according to THE HOLY SCRIPTURES, those Jews living in Israel will see HIM and realize that HE is “THE ONE they have pierced, and they will mourn for HIM.” Thus the acknowledgement of the real JESUS as the genuine Jewish MESSIAH and DIVINE SAVIOR will fill their hearts and “so all Israel will be saved.”

Based on Islamic traditions, however, Muslims expect Jews to acknowledge “the Dajjal” as the divine Jewish Messiah; thus, in the Islamic mind, the real JESUS of THE HOLY SCRIPTURES will fulfill the three most primary Islamic expectations of “the Dajjal.” Clearly, these [islamic] traditions will be used by Satan, not only to preempt and prevent Muslims from accepting and receiving the real JESUS when HE comes, but to inspire them to attack HIM.

Consider the following statement by a well-known Muslim apologist. The question posited to him was, “What do Muslims believe about the end of the world and JESUS’ part in it”? He answered:

"Briefly, Christians believe that Jesus will come down to earth and fight for the state of Israel…. What seems to be quite ironic to me is that those Jews that Jesus is supposedly going to fight for don’t even believe in Jesus as GOD himself nor as a Messenger of GOD…. Jesus never liked the Jews…. Now without being biased, we Muslims have a story that makes a lot more sense and is empty of contradictions! We believe that Jesus will come down to earth toward the end of the world time to fight the army of Satan which will be mostly from the “bad” Jews or “Zionist Jews” as we call them today, and the deceived from the Polytheist Christians or the Trinitarian Christians and the Pagan Polytheists such as Hindus, Buddhists, etc…. Some Jews and many Christians will be among the good and blessed who will fight with Jesus’ side. The army of Satan will be led by a person who will claim to be Jesus Christ himself. The Muslims will call him the Dajjal or the Deceiver. The real Jesus’ army will fight the Dajjal’s army and defeat him. The empire of Israel will fall, and the religion of Islam will prevail."

As a direct result of the Islamic apocalyptic traditions, Muslims expect two Jesuses to come: the real one and the false one. By Muslim apologists’ admissions, the real JESUS will be identifiable by the fact that HE does not like Jews; indeed HE is expected to attack and slaughter them. Likewise the false Jesus (according to Islam) will be clearly identifiable by the fact that HE will defend the Jews. Thus Muslims expect “the Muslim Jesus,” along with His leader, “the Mahdi,” to attack Israel and do battle against JESUS of THE HOLY SCRIPTURES. Armageddon….???

Once again, it’s been said many times and in many ways, and this time and way is no exception: Woe unto mgr’s faithful followers who are in the very “epicenter” of the great deception that overcomes the world, and don’t even have a clue.

They just don’t “get it”/do not realize that they have been led into the camp of that ancient serpent aka the devil/dragon/Satan via his servant, the “mimicker” and “substitute” (imposter) “god, christ/messiah, third face” aka mgr, and that by/through their belief/faith in him and his teachings/words (e.g., the “loyal Mohammedans”), they have played right into the hand of the one to whom they ultimately pay homage --- the “father” of all lies [and liars] --- the devil/Satan himself --- who comes “in the name of the Lord” but who, in truth, is the angel of deception aka “the Antichrist” aka “the beast” [along with his “False Prophet”].
